I found a much easier way to make an elephant fly:

You have to be in forge.

Go up to the elephant and, here's the genius bit, spawn a GRAV LIFT

when ever you use a grav lift to make an elephant fly it doesnt work because of the MASSIVE WEIGHT YOU RETARD

download a map called "The Mammoth" its an elephant with a hornet lodged in it so you can REALY fly it no dodgy explosions (thats a glitch i found on my first ever go at forge ) still cool tho. but realy, once you've learned 2 realy fly it its so bloody fun
