Help?

ok, my bridge is working fine, but my mate set his up and can't sign into xbl, saying that it cant find ip.
im running out of suggestions what he is doing wrong,
done the following just so people dont suggest these ideas
added all the correct ip's for xbl
set own network to internet rather than trusted
bridge set up correctly (the same as mine and mine works)
any others things that people might of stumbled across when bridging themselves? cheers

If he can't sign into xbl, more then likely his connections aren't bridged. His Xbox must not be sharing the connection.

he bridged the 2 connections that were in the network connections, and it says there both connected so, im not sure

That's odd.... does he have a wireless setup or is he using a labtop?

firewalls most likely, make sure all disabled and that he has bungie and XBL's IP's on trusted

i gave him xbl ip's and they worked for me, just doublr checked them and there all good,just searching for any other firewalls that might be blocking it

Since your friend's not using ICS then I don't see why it wouldn't be working. He must have made a mistake in his Zone Alarm. You said he has everything typed in correctly but he might of forgotten one detail. That's all it takes.

even though zap puts in the network addressfor you is there anyway that could be wrong? and if so how would you check its right?

nope, just tried it still failing at the ip point on the xbox, it's slowly driving me insane lol

hey thanks for all the help, eventully gave up trying to bridge this way for my mate because it just wasnt working, so set up the other bridge
modem>router>
router>xbox
router>pc
then using Cain and Zap he can bridge me host in social
is there a way of using this method in MM, ive herd rumours there isn't

No problem. Yeah there's a "couting method" that was discovered by DJ Shepherd. When the game locks, wait 3 secs and put your firewall to med. Then 4 more seconds and put your firewall to high. This should almost guarantee your bridge to work.

Although if I were you, I wouldn't standby or mod for a few days after the new update because apparently not only will they be banning current cheaters but they might be able to detect the ones who have cheated in the past.
