I need help with bridging and standbying.

Okay when I start the APR on Cain it doesn't show me the other IP's of the people in my party. Did I do something wrong? Help me at AIM: Mahealani582

When do I start Cain and abel? Also do I need to bridge my LAN with The wireless or can I just plug the ethernet cable into my comp? Plus when I poison my thing no other ip's in the lower box shows up. Also if I wanna bridge my brother host and hes on a diff xbox but using the same router will that work? And another thing if you get host without bridging can you standby? I figured you gotta bridge other people not yourself so that means I can only stand by when I get host myself or if someone bridges me right?

You cant give yourself host, only others, and then only the host can standby

you can only use cain and able when your computer is directly wired into the router (not wireless)

if you need to go wireless bridging, you need a crossover cable (not a standard ethernet cable) and look in the Halo 2 section on how to just set up a network bridge or use ICS

Okay I'll just use the ethernet cable and what about if the person is one the same router as me. Can I bridge them host?

you can use a regular ethernet cable ONLY IF that cable goes from your computer and router, and another goes from your router to your xbox, otherwise you have to have this set up:
xbox <crossover> computer <ethernet/wireless> router/modem

and yes you can force someone host on a different xbox, intstead of putting in your internet IP as trusted, you put the OTHER Xbox (not the one that is bridging) IP as trusted, the 192.168.x.xxx IP... but it doesnt do much because in order to do anything with the other Xbox, you would have to disconnect from the bridging xbox, go to the host xbox, and then do something, which could lead to having hosts switched on you
