make a map not load?

my friend acciently got ghosttown not to load up anymore and i wanna do the same because i dont like that map. he doesnt know how he did it. does anyone know how?

dont say its not possible i no it is.. i posted this 2 times bc i didnt know which forum it should be in

ya this is obvious
just get the map off your hdd, open it up in hex editor, in a few random spots kn the map type gahjhhssknndjdkdnsjkdjbdjddjdb random stuff so if it tries to load, the signature is invalid
for old maps, burn a disc of the same thing with the maps you dont want

no... no editing like that.. he didnt do anything like using the computer and editing it.. he just somehow did a glitch on the xbox that made it now work.. how?

If you scratch your disk in the right spot you can cause maps/missions to not load. However, Ghost Town is on your HD so that won't work in this case.

he didnt "do a glitch," that is what he did, prove me wrong by telling him to do it again, then after the game, play the map on a custom game

He probably deleted the map off his HDD. Or maybe partly downloaded it and didn't finish it.

I wouldnt be going around saying, "youre slow" when you believe that bungie programmed a button glitch to say "make map not load," thats just dumb
otherwise, the only other possibility of making a map not load is the fact that the map was corrupt
how do you corrupt it you ask?
hex edit the map and put it back on
scratch your disc where the map would be
partial download (although with a 360 im not sure that works)
deleting the map off your HDD
Im telling you thats how to make a map not load but for some reason you are denying the facts, i dont know why

you are wrong.. he didnt hex edit it, couldnt have scratched the disk because its a downloadable map, didnt stop halfway through the download because he was able to play on it for a couple months now he cant. he doesnt know how to take it off his HDD. so somehow it glitched and i want to know how. ive seen it before in matchmaking, like when you are in the lobby and the map ranomly changes before anyone can veto, its because the map doesnt load and thats how his is. now someone tell me how it happened

DJ if you dont know how to do it dont post. youve already stated that you would do it by hexing but maybe there is a glitch to make a DLC map not load. possibly by moving or copying it or something so be ignorant "*finger snap*"

the map might have had the wrong SYS hash for his system to load. this could be from forcing an update to not happen.

Wow, if this was possible i would stop myself from loading every map apart from The Pit "BR's" and The Pit "King of the hill"
