This is a discussion about Overloading maps within the Halo 3 Forge section, where you will Halo 3 section to show off and talk about your mapping creations.; Is there any way you can make the map over load when you start it instead of throwing trip mines

Try spawning as many explosives(fusion coils,ect) a little bit in the air.
I thought the reason trip mines overloaded it was because of the massive explosion..so try fusion coils or that one covenant explosive.

that just makes a big noise hah, to answer the question no there is no way to save an overloaded map, you will have to throw down the trip mines everytime you want it to happen. the reason i tihnk this happens is because there are soooo many of the mines that its just too much for the game to compute because the mines have to make the noise, sound and explode when walked upon so its a lot to keep track of.

Couldn't you mod a map that starts with a bunch of active trip mines? Like, say, 32(frag)? Then just blow them up when the game starts, and they won't respawn, and the map is overloaded quickly.

Yea, I haven't really overloaded maps that often, but isn't 32 the largest number of one item you can have out at a time? So if you are spawning and swapping, you would only be able to have 32.

The deployed trip mines dont count as an item in forge. an unactive trip mine is an item and only one is needed to be out but change it so it automatically respawns

also the more people you have on a map the more unrelyable (sp) it is to over load.
when i try to over load with about 3 other people in the map it tends to take a lot longer or not work at all.
but try the mod if you know how and see if it works, who knows?
