Mr.Sark's Sarkathalon 4!

from now until November 18th will be Mr. Sark's legendary event known as the Sarkathalon. For the past three events the prize has been Bungie's famous armor known as Recon. but this year it has a much, much higher prize known as E.O.B. (Employee of Bungie) armor. which is the source of bungie's plaming head! The head of bungie will be giving the winner of this event the E.O.B. body piece. SO GOOD LUCK!

To enter in this event you need to download the Sarkathalon 4 map, which is held on Longshore this time, and the Sarkathalon gametype. The player must finish with a full set of 8 grenades. The player with the fastest time will win!

Step 1:
Mr Sark:
Bungie.net : Halo 3 Service Record of mr sark
Map:
Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details
Gametype:
Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details

Step 2:
Once you have downloaded all of it just go and play it on halo! keep playing it untill you get a time that you are satisfied with.

Step 3:
put it on your fileshare and head over to your Bungie.net : Our Webmaster Wears a Gorilla Suit and a Jetpack profile and get the link for the film in your file share.

Step 4:
Email the link to Mr. Sark at
MrSark@g4tv.com
and wait and see if you are the winner!

For those of you who haven't seen this before, I am a producer on the video game review show X-Play, on G4TV. I am also a Halo fan and I started doing viewer challenges to air on the show.

I am now on my fourth installment, and this time around Bungie has deemed the winner worthy of the Bungie-only (except for Nathan Fillion?) FLAMING ARMOR! Not sure what prompted this move, but who are are we to complain? ANSWER ME THAT!

The Sarkathlon 4 Map (Longshore) & Gametype (VIP) are in my File Share. The objective this time is fairly simple. Cross the finish line with 8 grenades in your inventory. Remember that this isn't you-versus-the-map. This is you-versus-everyone-else-running-the-map. The grenades are not overly difficult to find and gather, the challenge is doing it in the shortest possible time.

Sarkathlon 4 ends Sunday, November 8th at Midnight! Save your films, then email me the link to your file. MRSARK@G4TV.COM

I have plenty of shirts and such to fire out to runners-up. I also like to get as many of you on the show as possible so we try and do progress reports, highlights, etc...

That is all. Go do terrible things to this map, get fire.

*If you download the map and there are 8 grenades in a row near the spawn, you are a victim of the ghost of bungie.net, and should try to re-download the map. It may take a little while for Bungie.net to accurately reflect my current File Share. You are getting a template map from yesterday. Weird.

**Feel free to submit as many runs as you like, but try and hammer out a good time before you start spamming the 'Send' button!

what have you never heard of the sarkathalon? they show it on X-Play every year. and no. you will not be giin flaming armor for doing great things like they did with recon. the winner of this will be the only other person IN THE WORLD! with flamin' head other then bungie.

Lol, they can't have it on Xbox Live though. Maybe sometime it will be able to mod H3 like that on retail Xbox's. Sigh...

thats really helpful, but i think it would be more helpful if you made a film of you doing a practice run to get all of the grenades

make it much easier for us(well people that can do it

damn E74 erroe)
