Can computer programming be considered a sport? Extreme welding? Breathing?

I don't think it's a overall sport at all.

Although I do consider it a sport in the gaming world. It's has certain rules and guidelines just like a sport would. I guess it would be like a sport of gaming.

Like basketball is a sport but street ball is street ball. See what I mean.

Not a sport . Lets call it play time instead. Sports you tend to run, swim, do somthing active. Not sit on your ***.

I know some of you nerds want to call it a sport so you can think you actually play sports.

I completely agree. It could never be a sport on it's own. But I tend to look at it as a sport of gaming.

It's not a sport, but a competitive activity. And correct me if i'm wrong but MLG is the name of the company that runs the "sport", so that's like saying is NHL a sport when no, it's football that is the sport and NHL is the name of the football if you get my meaning.

Thats an interesting commet about F1.

Basically they sit in a special chair and drive. There are alot of foot and hand movements but majority of the work is done by your hand eye co-ordination, like gaming.

I know Formula 1 is very phisacally demanding aswell though, even if your sat down. I got to drive a f1 type car as a present and i must have lost a stone in sweat lol. Its acually quite phyisically demanding aswell.

I find it a closer link to gaming than other sports
