New Achievements More Than They Seem?

I was searching through the new achievements and I think I found something interesting. Some of the Achievements mentioned finding skulls in levels or maps we haven't even heard of, one of them being the already announced Assembly. Here's the list of the new skull achievements:

Assembly Skull: On Assembly, find the hidden skull.
Citadel Skull: On Citadel, find the hidden skull.
Heretic Skull: On Heretic, find the hidden skull.
Longshore Skull: On Longshore, find the hidden skull.
Orbital Skull: On Orbital, find the hidden skull.
Sandbox Skull: On Sandbox, find the hidden skull.

It seems Bungie may have noticed this, because they said something in their Halo 3 Title Update: Bungie.net : Inside Bungie : News, that leads to us believe they might be hiding something.
Now my first guess was that they are some how going to come out new downloadable content for single player, but as I looked through the other achievements I noticed something else that would lead me to believe something else. Here they are:

Post Mortem: On Orbital, get 2 Death From the Grave medals during any ranked or social match.
Ghost Patrol: Longshore, get 3 kills with a ghost during any ranked or social match.
Blades of Fury: On Heretic, get a Sword Spree during any ranked or social match.
Pull: On Citadel, get a Shotgun Spree during any ranked or social match.
Hammer Time: On Assembly, get 5 Hammer kills during any ranked or social match.

These achievements would lead us to think that these maps are multiplayer maps. I could go even further and assume that Sandbox is a multiplayer map too. There's also the question whether all these maps are for the new mythic map pack? The main thing leading to this assumption is the fact that, last time I heard, they can only come out with content for each downloadable content. It would also be an excuse for the lapse of new maps since April.

So what's everybodies take on this?

and they're really not to hard. The oddball ones will take some luck getting the map tho.

It's new maps and nothing else. And if you read that bungie update you would know they did say this.

Also, what would be the point of more single player things? It would ruin the Halo 3 story.

Single Player maps would, it anything, complete the Halo 3 story. There is no doubt that Bungie left a lot of room for another story, with the hidden ending to Halo 3 (Especially the Legendary ending). I was also wondering whether people thought it'd be a big *** map pack, or just future ones.

Just throwing it out there, but what if it wasn't a story not worth a new game, or they just want to finish the story without making a completely new game, so that they'll have more time to work on something new. Just throwing it out there.

They could but it won't happen. The maps they are creating are for multiplayer. It obviouse from the achievements we will be able to unlock. Who said Bungie can't put skulls on the maps they made? This is not ment towards you Deception, I was thinking that you thought the new maps were for campaign. For people that really think the maps are for campain, they are not and it's obviouse.

There are few reasons to believe that it might be single player, but very few, and I personally do doubt it. I just wanted to list a possiblility. One of the main things that interested me was the map "Sandbox". I really think that it might be the map from the end of the Bungie "EDGE" acceptance speech video. It sounds like a Foundry map, but possibly a little bigger.

Not to be mean or anything but everyone is kinda acting like something godly is going to happen to halo. It's just new maps. I'm excited for them and can't wait to see them but there isn't going to be new single player.
