Modding Offline

I was wondering, is it possible (Or worth it) to mod just offline? I was reading some of the tutorials (I just signed up) and I want to know before I really commit to doing any of this stuff. The problem is, my original xbox wont let me recover my 360 account onto it, so if I have to have xbox live on my original xbox to mod I suppose I need to figure out something ._.

PS: I was going to pick Sornus as my name (My gamertag aswell) but it said a part of my name had been banned from the forums... wtf is that about? ?_? If somebody could clear that up for me aswell, i'd be great

all modding is is manipulating the game files, so yes, you can of course mod offline and you don't need Xbox live, all XBL mods were for were to have fun with friends and make fun mods to play with them or....the devil's logic...to cheat...

Other than that, you can mod multi and single maps and no need to have an account for live

in order to recover your gamertag to an original xbox you need to call 8004myxbox they can do it for you

I actually just finished modding my xbox, I need to go back to my Dads place before I can setup a FTP connection though, I dont have the stuff I need here.

You dont have to have a ftp account to get files you can hotswap.

Sorry man, i'm not sure what hotswapping is. If there is a FAQ on all these terms i'll gladly go look at it before posting again if you link it to me : D

And also, I meant I dont have the right kind of router. I have an ethernet switch, it wont connect my stuff.
