Modded Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack "CD"?

Has anyone ever created a modded halo 2 multiplayer map pack? I want make one so i can mod new maps on live for my xbox 360. I have a laptop and a cd-r/rw burner, but no dvd burner or i'd just make a modded halo 2 disk and mod old maps.:cry2: You could probably delete some stuff out of the dvd to make the disk smaller, but i can't get a working cd! Can anyone help me PLZ!

Sorry, no you cannot mod on a CD r/rw, or else itd already be out. All the stuff that is required for the map to read is just enough to be burnt to a DVD R/RW which is about 7.5 times as much space as a CD.

Plus, in the raw dump, you cannot delete things from the ISO, once its in there, its in there

Uuum, new maps arent on the CD, sorry, there is no burning required, just FTP'ing them from your xbox. You may want to try this

i know how to FTP ive already done that. im saying that maybe you can FTP all of the files from the map pack cd, delete some unneeded files like the videos so the file is 700 mbs or less, try testing it on a modded xbox, and create a xiso (that works) and burn it with nero or some other iso burning software. ive gotten the 738 mb version of halo 2 by using this tut: HALO MAPS
then deleting a map file you don't want like midship so it will fit on a cd. idk if it works on xbox 360 though anyone ever tried?

I have no idea what you are talking about, the new maps arent read off of a CD, sso why would you burn them to a CD?

idk lol i was thinkin maybe you could mod the maps after you backed the game up and install them onto the 360 and the mods would work, but make a smaller 700 mb version of the map pack... maybe you just cant do it

but thats what I'm saying, it would be pointless. You could just FTP the maps, it would be too much trouble to do this, and make it install the modded maps, unless you know what you're doing, which neither of us do. Mods, please close.

you cannot make a regular iso and play on live, you must create a raw dump of halo 2, then either hotswap or flash your drive

Ok, for one new maps are not on the disc. For 2 there are hundreds of map packs for the new maps, and for three I'm guessing you didn't look anywhere on this site or use the search button. Am I right?

all i wanted to is backup the halo 2 map pack disk, mod the new maps that i got from ftping the whole map disk, create an xiso burn it, and install the maps on my xbox 360! can i do this or not?

if you care so much, try it. Maybe no one else has an answer for you. Maybe, oh noez! You could do it yourself! OMG, make a tutorial if it works. That sounds great! I always hear questions about things people could do themselves, but they waste time wondering if they could do it, and not actually doing it. If I can find my map pack disc, I'll try it.

ok ive been testing it but i keep getting some dumb error when i launch it off my modded xboxes hd... Ill keep trying maybe ill get it to work somehow! thanks distort!

well, try coldbooting the disc, or try it on a non-modded xbox, that may be why youre getting the error
