how come when i try to burn the disk it wont let me because theres not enough space and it wont let me continue. what do i do?

It says in the tutorial..Burn till end of media.

Hey when it said that at 7% itll say error, i used a dvdr disc and at o% it had error and i replaced with dumy data, is that right?

no its not..... u have to get that error at 7 %....

I will use a laptop and DVD+RW 4.7GB disks, will i still be able to do it?

i use a laptop too and it works just fine the best disks for the phillips drives are the dvd-r...... for it to work on a laptop u will have to get an external dvd burner the one in the computer it self sucks at making it work.....

either u are not switching disk right or ur drive just sucks at it..... ur drive probably knows u r stopping it.... cuz i have a drive like it it recognizes wen you switch the disk... so i had to get a 20 dvd burner and it works just fine...

Hey there, I tried to pop the disk using a paper clip and it would not eject the disk tray. It feels like it's nothing but plastic in there. So i am resorting to opening the xbox. I currently have it open but the disk drive doesn't have screws in the top for me to unscrew and remove the frame. It's a Hitachi Lite and I'd very much appreciate help on how to remove it so i can hot swap w/ the xbox opened.

There are scews on the disc drive to get the top off, they may not be on the top you have to look a little harder. Might wanna take the dvd drive completely out to get a good look.

I tried everything to fix the 0% problem, can't I looked throught this whole thread. I am on my labtop so when I EE the disc stops spinning, I am guessing it is not spinning again? I did everything everyone has suggested. Anyone know of other method...?

EDIT: I lied, buying external drive tommorow. Will try that and get back to all.

ok im really starting to get angry im doing the tut perfectly and i need a proffessionals help i extract the halo 2 raw dump i mod the iso file and i burn it on the disk and it doesnt work i just bought a 32 dollar DVD RW drive because i thought my moms drive didnt work and ive looked at twenty thousand diff tutorials on the internet and none of them worked im very clueless at this point my number is 971-322-5153 anyone call me and we can teamview or something so please HELP ME!

i have halo 2 i have a working Computer i have a brand new DVD RW drive and i have a disc and all the programs in the world to MOD OLD MAPS i just need to talk to someone and i would rather not message eachother so call me if u have free time it would be MUCH APPRECIATED!

Did you try hotswapping on your Xbox/360?

Is your Xbox 360 Flashed?

Does your Xbox (orginal) have a Samsung drive?

Try hotswapping

Try flashing your drive

If your on an xbox and you have a samsung, hotswapping wont work.

hey i need help my DVD RW drive stopped working after i took it apart for hotswapping its brand new but i dont know if the problem is because i took it apart but i know im always carful with things so idk just call me 971-322-5153

also if i have an original xbox and i have a samsung disc drive your saying that it wont work when i hotswap does that mean that i can use a 360 to hotswap on and also i have a friend that has the same samsung drive with the same version and he can hotswap fine but idk if he is like actually telling the truth but anyways seriously call me 971-322-5153

Ok im getting the error at 0% if it dousnt work when this hapens what do i do exacly? ive done this tut like 5 times and all the same stuff. when i use the ss patcher it says that its an unrecongnized xbox game or sumtihing ne one know whats wrong?

ive also tried it on 4 computers

the problem is that when u hotswap your not doing it at the wrong time so take apart ur computer disc drive the same way u hotswap on the xbox and then when it tells u to do the paperclip trick just hotswap and then it should get to 7% if it doesnt work it will eventually work if u hotswap at the wrong time because when it only gets to 0% that means that ur DVD drive wont hotswap right so u have to open it up and do it manually just switch the discs and it should work but my dvd drive wont even turn on so but it shouldnt happen to u so yeah

and make sure u put the magnet on after u hotswap or else it will scratch ur disc

and if u ectract halo 2 raw dump and it gets to 7% then that means that that u can put mainmenue.map on the disk and midship and u wont have to hot swap everytime u want to load a map just do it at the bungie screen
