How to Mod Old Maps On A DVD-R (By XxMoNkEy42xX)

I have a laptop and it does not have a dvd burner i have halo 2 on my comp and i have moded the maps but how can i put it on a dvd with out a dvd burner?

Note but i can burn CD

i was fine following this tut until i got to to the layerbreak step. when i open image002 it doesnt have layerbreak=numbers. it has like a whole line going downawrd of like image001, image002, image003, etc... is this a common error or am i just stupid. and u can call me stupid it wont hurt my feelings. but iv really wanted to mod old maps on live for my friends and iv got no idea wat im doing wrong. Thanks

Can i use a dvd-rw too and is the layer break number suppose to be different

im stuck at the part were you need to use ss for midship and main menu but it tells me the selected file is not recognized or supported

hey is it possible to make a working old map mod disk without hotswaping if not do you think i could send you the mods i want and buy a disk with them on it

I've been trying to get this to work for the longest time and I keep getting the same problem, i get the error at 0% instead of 7% when I'm making the actual raw dump, any idea what I am doing wrong??

Well im new to the forum as well as you can see but I was wondering do you need a modchip to do this or a softmod or can you use a plain xbox sorry if I sound noobish

no you don't need to softmod or have a mod chip to do this but you do need to know how to hotswap on your xbox, that much i do know

Yea I do I do have the top off and everything is ready I just need to halo 2 iso the tutorial with the movie crap doesn't work for me stupid error ar 0%

Thanks for the clearup my dumb friend got me all depressed saying you need a modchip to hotswap and then I got really angry so thanks..

ok ive done everything until i got to ss patcher... then when i try to open the iso file with ss patcher it always says "The following file is not recognized or supported"... ive tryd this over and over again... i must have done this tutorial like 5 times and everytime i do it it always says the same thing... what am i doing wrong....

Well i found a website that hosted a halo 2 iso but I cant burn it on the DVD+RW that I have its 4.7 i know it will cut out single player can someone redirect me to a good dvd burner program

I have a good feeling it was written by Monkey because after someone else writes a tutorial and someone else makes another one on a different website they always end up looking the same there really isn't much you can do about it, and Monkey is a very trustworthy member of Se7en Sins and I don't think he would steal a tutorial and ruin his reputation now.

I'm pretty sure you either put in the wrong map or if you are downloading some mods then you might have injected the wrong PPF/SPPF. But then again I am having problems so i might be wrong.
