this only works on some drives because some computers recognize that the disc has been ejected whether using the emergency eject or not. so thats why people keep getting the error message at 0% instead of 7% i had this problem too, but i did the disassemble and it worked fine.and people should not ask someone to burn them a disc, because im pretty sure thats illegal [someone please correct me if im wrong]

yes you can use a normal CD-r if your cd-r is magical and can hold 8gb's of data.

You need a dual layer dvd-r not because it's "better", but because it can hold all of the data that you need it to.

uum, im not sure if you can sell them here. but i dunno, someone could some other way maybe... but you can pick up a DVD drive for anywhere for pretty cheap.

heres one----> Newegg.com - LITE-ON Black 20X DVD±R DVD Burner W/ 12X DVD-RAM write and LightScribe - OEM

its a DVD-R Burner, but thats all you should need, plus its cheap, so you dont have to worry about the disassemble, its not that hard to replace. you can still use the drive. just, instead of popping the magne out of the DVD-Drive on the top of the case, use the one for your xbox if you already did that. or use an old drive magnet, that way you can just screw on the top and pop it back into your comp^_^

If you're disc is stopping at 0% you do NOT need a new drive, but you do need to open your computer and drive so you can hotswap them that way.

maybe you werent paying attention to the part where people like their DVD Dirves ro that its not their computer. if you have an expensive drive that you DONT want to take apart becuase its too expensive, or its not yours, you can buy a new one for under 60 bucks. but i tried the hotswap about 20 times and finally got it, but you have to do it REALLY fast on some drives, so good luck with that!

and in the tutorial, you just sa to burn the .dvd file, then do we burn the .iso or what? thanks

If you are looking for a good DVD+DL burner that will accept bit-setting and will burn discs well here you go: $29.99

NEC ND3550 16x DVD±R Burn & Read 8x DVD+RW 6x DVD-RW 8x DVD+R DL 6x DVD-R DL 48x32x CD-RRW Beige DVD Burner (No Software) N27-1894 BULK at TigerDirect.com

This drive works great, how do I know..... I bought one for a computer I was building for a buddy and he burns H2 discs like crazy. So if you want a reliable cheap DVD+DL burner go buy this one.
