To run most of the homebrew apps made on this site you will need a newer .net framework, all it is is a program running tool, all of you should already have .net framework 1.1 installed on your PC anyway, but now a new visual basic is out (see below) and you will need to upgrade to .net framework 2.0 to run any of the apps we make with it.

Remember! All the apps that run on a lower .net framework will still work!

All you do is install it, thats it, there will be no visual changes, nothing added to the start-menu either, to uninstall it just use your 'Add/remove program' found in the control panel.

Download: .Net Framework 2.0

The New Visual Basic

If you fancy yourself as an application maker, then this is for you [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif[/img] This will also install the .net framework 2.0 so you dont need to bother downloadin it seperately. I wont explain how 2 use it, on the 'start page' in the bottom-right is a link dubbed 'Creating your first application', go from there.

Download: Visual basic 2005 Express Edition

Most people should already have this on there PC anyways from all the M$ updates but this should help some people out.

i need an ftp program. i used i think was called fxp for a month then that quit on me. is this an ftp program? or no?

yea, its called FlashFXP, and it is an ftp program, there are plenty of tuts out there on how to use windows explorer to ftp, HOORAY FOR THE SEARCH FUNCTION!!!

HELP! i need to download this so bad but whenever i try to download something from microsoft i always get a whole page with a bunch of boxes numbers and stuff. i have windows 2000 if this helps at all. please someone tell me why do i get a bunch of boxes and numbers and leters on a page instead of a download
