Really new Noob

Ok like it says I am a really new noob and needs help on a large scale. My first question is what would I need to make Halo2 mods such as changing wepons projectils, editing maps and cars. Secondly were deo I get these files and what is the best and simplest editing softwear for Halo 2 editing as I said before, editing cars and maps and such. Please help me I am the noobiest noob you will ever find

You get the maps of your Hard Drive and/or Disc, Theres pleanty of programs to mod with, each having there own perpose. But for a beginner I would use DotHalo found in the modding section
