| 7S Enthusiast | 1st. Have you opened this map in any other programs, such as Dothalo or Insolence? Doing this may have damaged your tags, making them un-openable. 2nd. Have you set your map paths? If no to one and yes to two, then what version of Entity are you using? I'll play around with it I guess. |

| 7S Enthusiast | map paths must be set other wise you wouldn't even open the map let alone attempt to open the meta editor, but it is weird that robbie has his entity in the same folder as entity's default folder Compaq users/etc As for some inferior program causing the problem to the map possible but unlikely for every map I'd say the entity you are using is fairly old I've tried 1 ,1.3,1.39,1.4 ,1.5 and 1.6 and I'd have to say fyi 1.39 is the most stable Last edited by LD50; 06-18-2007 at 10:13 AM. |

| Junior Member | I have 1.6 UE I've tried many other versions. I don't like them. Can I have a link to 1.9? And... No, I did not edit them in anything else. They're clean maps. I've tried alot of different maps, too. |

| 7S Enthusiast | sorry robbie I a bit too tired when I posted I spotted I'd put 1.9 when I meant 1.39 and I thought I'd corrected it but I must of dreamed that bit As for how 1.39 and 1.6 differ there's some minor graphical differences but 1.39 is pretty solid compared to all others |

| 7S Enthusiast | Get a fresh copy of the mainmenu.map shared.map and Sp_shared.map from your halo 2 disc get a new copy of net frame work from Microsoft get a copy of Entity 1.39 from zone's SP to MP BSP conversion tut (advanced tutorials) then set the map paths then tell me it doesn't work gopedertyper I'm not helping you until you spell check your last post and put it in the form of an understandable question (an edit not a new post) (100'th post woot!) | 7S Enthusiast | Gopedertyper look at page two of this thread near the bottom I explain how to set the map paths Robbie I didn't skip your question I just didn't make it clear I was addressing you Other than a new net framework it could be that your plugins are the issue updating plugins is a bit of a pain first open entity>tools>format plugins direct entity to your halo 2 plugins which is entity UE v1.6>plugins>halo 2> ent then try your meta editor then to update your plugins visit Halo 2 Plugins open your ent folder open biped.ent with notepad or text doc open the biped hyperlink @plugins.pheonic.co.uk/ copy all the text in the main window and paste it over all the text in notepad save and close thats biped updated you have to do this for all tags which takes time thats why I recommend just using 1.39 because all plugins are fairly recent and its the best all round, some people recommend other versions of specific mods (skinning etc) http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=58976 entity 1.39 with most of the recent plugins Alphasped you can edit spawn co-ords in 2 ways with entity (not just player spawns, weapons, scenery, objectives, obstacles) the first method (favored by all) is using the BSP viewer and editing player (look it up) the second method (not used too much) is opening the scnr tag opening the meta editor finding the player spawns part and entering the X Y Z co-ords by number alone Don't use AIO any version, why learn 50 different modding programs, when in the end you'll want to use entity My modding program list: Entity(for all modding), Sav3r(game type), CRM2(signing), H2G, H2C(BSP converting), Spff (if I have to) and scripttools (scripting) Zone 117 where the hell have you gone? | 7S Enthusiast | Ok, so, my spartan's body is invisible. I don't know what's causing it. I'll try to put pictures up (if I ever get the deswizzler to connect properly..), but, everything exept the head and gun are completely invisible. Non-existant even. It seems to happen after I inject/internalize certain bitmaps.. (One time after I skinned the banshee, the second time after I skinned the antennas (modding Ascension)), but that seems illogical and I'm 99% sure that it's not that. Though, I can't think of any other reasons why it would do this. Any help? |

| 7S Enthusiast | Really weird you should mention that woozy because I too have a modded Ascension but I don't skin at all, everything on the map (Eg the biped) was normal (visible) until I tried adding some scenery (2 way teleporters) today to the net game reflexive (so non modders can see them) I've had this modded months now with the teleporters invisible (using redundant objective locations) with everything being fine I finally got tired of explaining where the teleporters where and decided to put the scenery in and like magic everything but the gun and the bipeds head became invisible I could have gone wrong but I don't really care it's just unusual that 2 people have the same problem on the same map when neither did anything to the biped tag Ideas as to why please Did you manage to fix your problem robbie? | 7S Enthusiast | Ok then Zone time for proper question #2 How do I transfer scripts from a prescripted map to a non scripted map that will work with SoL's scripttools (and not the method given @ halo mods, because coping the scripts reflexive to the clipboard then adding it to the netgame master chunk doesn't work with scripttools, and scripts that work on Zanzibar elongation etc copied over to non scrited maps freeze the map upon loading) How would you do it please (tried and tested) |

| Se7en Sinner | in entity if i want to duplicate something, i right click it. well it give two options, duplicate and duplicate recursivly. which do i use? im not really sure what recursively means. |
