| Back for a bit ;p ![]() | Rxmaker, Go to the scnr tag. Right click the middle area and hit Clone Chunks. Select the chunk you want to clone, in the box to the right type in how many you want, hit clone, then hit add meta to map. Simple. |

| 7S Enthusiast | How do you make duplicated items visable to nonmodders? |

| Member | im having a problem with this program, im beginning to think this program isnt all that you say it is. so i looked at the tutorial on how to copy objects to other maps with entity, aand it said to select the tag, select parsed and recursive, then save. this part works fine, i save the tag, a pelican in this example, in a directory i choose. it writes all the files, then i open another map in entity and click the inject button, then go to the directory of the pelicanand click the info file and then entity says it couldnt find the pelican XML file, quit or continue. im like WTF?, it never made one! |

| Junior Member | When you are editing weapons in Entity 1.6 does it automatically make them visible projectiles? and is their a tutorial on the basics of entity, etc? God im an entity s**t head. |

| 7S Enthusiast | Right I've decided to do away with dothalo and the rest of that crap, I'm going to use nothing but Entity from now on with the exception of H2C H2G when BSP converting, so expect me to be here lots I'm remaking my earlier dothalo / UVPTv3 mods with just entity 1.6 It took me quite awhile to find a visible projectile tut here, but finally I found this Visible Projectiles in Entity 1.1.6 todays Question Is where in entitys Meta editor do I adjust the weapons projectile spread? Example I have a shotgun that shoots a plasma nade it was too inaccurate over distance In dothalo I reduced the 2 deviation angles by 90% (eg 0.1396260 to 0.0139626) this improved accuracy over distance enough Answer It was in the meta editor under weap Note Dothalo has 2 deviation angles that have a number greater than 0 less than 1 (finite) that depends on the weapon measured in Radians which makes sense 1 for X 1 for Y Entity v1.6 has 1 deviation angle and it says 0 even on clean maps, the finite numbers which appear in dothalo as deviation angles appear in entity as a auto aim angle and as a magnetism angle Last edited by LD50; 06-14-2007 at 02:32 AM. |

| Back for a bit ;p ![]() | Select a tag. The meta editor is in the blue plus button. |

| Back for a bit ;p ![]() | The ent plugin for that tag needs to be updated. Go ask Detox to do it, he knows how ent plugins work pretty well. |

| Member | no matter what i do in entity 1.6 when i try to open the map veiwer or save it always says mainmenu.map not found then a long as* error |

| 7S Enthusiast | Have you set the map paths? Before you even open a map go to tools settings, then direct it for the main menu map shared map and the Sp shared map, If you have already done this I think the only other thing is the entity you have is buggered find the newest newest version (which is difficult is it 1.6 or 1.39) and try again |

| Member | sorry im very new to entity and didnt have to set map paths how do i do that |

| 7S Enthusiast | I agree everything sounds complicated when you first start using entity , it's like learning another language Set map path means simply "tell entity where to look for the maps it needs" Tools>settings>show it where the main menu map is show it where the shared map is and show it where the shared single player map is don't worry about the 4th one (Bitmaps) thats for halo 1 Also Zone could you post a link to the Newest, shiniest, bestist version of entity and when it was updated on the first post of this thread so we're all on the same page as it were how many chunks can netgame equipment hold? Answer is unlimited but spawn too much and the game will freeze I tried 150 on waterworks and it froze solid Last edited by LD50; 06-14-2007 at 02:25 AM. |

| 7S Enthusiast | Is it possible to rename weapons with the Entity hex editor? If so, how? If not, what do I need? |
| | |
| | #39 |
| 7S Enthusiast | It is possible but there are easier ways to do it In entity it is straight hex editing there are programs that find and change the hex for you http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?search_id=1483322614&t=32740 is a good program for it and there is a tut about it http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/beginner-tutorials/43888-easy-hexing-text.html you're not the woozy of xbc are you? |
