| Cache Editing This thread does not have anything to do with what you are thinking (Venomous). So this is how the story goes. I cleared my cache and loaded up a MODDED turf.map, and then I FTP the cache003.map to my computer. As I opened it I noticed that the modifications that had been made to the map were in fact in the cache003. But this is when it gets wierd. I replace the modded turf.map (KEEPING THE cache003.map in the X drive) and then load it up. Now I was expecting Halo to overwrite the cache file with the clean turf.map and so that when the game loaded there would be no modifications, and I was right about the no modifications. So I then decided to FTP the cache003.map BACK to my computer and to my surprise the edits I had made to the map were still in the cache003.map.
Please explain why this is and how I can fix the problem. (PLEASE NO NOOBS ASKING WHAT I AM TRYING TO DO AND PLEASE DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TELL WHAT YOU THINK I AM TRYING TO DO)
Edit: Sat OCT152009 11:00 PM
I have now cleared my cache drives (X,Y,Z) and loaded up a CLEAN map. I tried to find the cache that I thought it was (cache003.map) but it was not in my X drive. The X drive was completely empty.
Note: I would prefer anyone with a lot of XBOX modding experience. Not HALO modding experience. So basically if you do not understand what I am trying to do, just don't post.
