The Bannings of XBL/Bungie explained

This is a discussion about The Bannings of XBL/Bungie explained within the Halo 2 Bridging section, where you will Learn how to bridge host here.; Bungie doesn't ban you with the second offense, I've had at least 10 accounts with symbols, and a total of like 4 months of suspensions, I've never been banned from anything except modding.

Guess what guys, hate to burst your bubble but I personally modded biped only (super jump), and only on one map (turf) as an experiment, signed on in custom game to test and got permanently suspended from halo MM on both my accounts after playing split screen. It took only 2 or 3 hours to get banned, but in which time I attempted a BR mod on same map, changed 1 wrong value, signed in to MM (1 account), naturally first map was turf, game started and as soon as I got near the BR the game bombed. I have a feeling that when the map mod settings are incorrect and the game craps out it throws up a really big red flag to bungie. Think about it, the game is based on math and specific patterns of math, when those patterns are changed it doesnt take a very smart bungie program to see it, especially since you are playing thru their servers. Buuuuutttt both of my accounts were booted so it must have been the split screen custom game.

On my account that recently expired (wow kys bk) I was suspended from Live 4 times, the timespan for which I was suspended for followed the times in the first post. I had planned on letting people boost off of my 44 but I lost it.

The account lasted for 4 months when it was made off of 2 one month trials on December 8, 2006.

And BTW to you people that don't think this is wrong. This is from BUNGIE, and XBOX LIVE. I got it from reading their ****. It's not very "accurate" because they will pretty much NEVER tell us the actual times. This should give you somewhat something to expect, not exact, but close. Now that they have upgraded, you can look for worse, and worse, and worse.....

What was the warning???
To my knowledge, there is "no warning", either,

1) You do not get caught and you continue with your endeavors (bridging and/or standbying)

OR

2) You got caught and are banned (for some period of time or permanently)

I many be incorrect on this topic, but I do not think so.

Don’t sweat it Matt, you are correct.

People are looking for “the correct answers” and you/we can not give that.
You can only make statements based on what information
Mickysoft and Bungay state.

If people do not realize that their “mileage may vary” on what we know of
the “banning rules/system”, then there is nothing else you can do/post.

Don’t delete this, it is good information, whether people can digest it or not
is not your issue.

Keep up the good work.

l8r,
