I too had this problem, I am not certain how exactly I resolved the issue but try calling 1800-4-MY-XBOX and tell them you want to forward your ports and if you got any firewalls, tell it to allow all UDP/TCP (or somthing like that) Connections through and post back what happens.

Umm, No. I don't know what you have or think a crossover cable is, but it fits just like any other Ethernet cable. The only way a crossover cable differs from a normal Ethernet is the order in which they place the wires before they throw the ends on... Check your connections for damage. Are you using phone line?

Okay, everyone that has a laptop connected wirelessly to their router, and an Xbox connected to their router with an ethernet cord, just use THAT > http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/halo...pro-7-1-a.html

I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH TIME I WASTED TRYING TO GET THIS ICS THING TO WORK ONLY TO REALIZE I COULD HAVE USED THE ROUTER METHOD!!!! YOU DON'T NEED TO BRIDGE CONNECTIONS OR ANYTHING AT ALL!!!

He's talking about if you Bridge using the Router method you don't have to Bridge your connections. You DO have to Bridge your connections on ICS Bridging.

Try testing your connection in the Xbox dashboard. Also try setting a static IP for your Xbox. You might also just need to wait a little while, while everything gets connected. So, just try to sign in once you think you have everything set up and then try testing connection if it doesn't work.

A static IP is an IP that you set yourself that doesn't change. You normally have a dynamic IP if you don't set a static IP. Just search something like "static IP Xbox 360" on youtube.

And please try to use better grammar. I can barely understand some of your sentences.

When configuring your bridge...no it doesn't really matter. Just lower it after you enter all the IPs.

No, they fixed bridging in Halo 2. You can standby for host though. And you can use this tutorial for bridging in Halo 3.

Re: ICS Bridging - Laptop/Wireless Bridging using Command Prompt

Okay. I have a problem. Whenever I try to show the adapter settings, both the Wireless and the Local Area connection say Unknown. I noticed that other people had this problem, and someone said to just go ahead and type in "netsh bridge set adapter 1 enable", and it would still work. For some reason though it won't work for me. Instead when i type it, all it gives me is "The requested operation requires elevation".
I even tried to show the adapter settings again and they still said Unknown.

I really need help.... I just want to get on x-box live.

If anyone can help me, please e-mail me at RhiRhi_Annin@yahoo.com

Thanks!
