I understand that this tutorial is a little aged ,but i was told this method should still work
I try to bridge I get an error message saying ''To bridge, you must select at least two LAN or High-Speed Internet connections that are not being used by Internet Connection''.

Whats wrong and how can I fix it?

does the wireless card have to be an external card, or can it be one that is built into your laptop?

You have to be selecting both connections at the same time.

Doesn't matter. All that does matter is as long as you have a wireless card to connect to the access point, and an ethernet connector to connect to your xbox, or device.

This is only for windows. For other programs, you must consult that program's documentation.

Re: ICS Bridging - Laptop/Wireless Bridging using Command Prompt

Can someone help me with this please? I've done everything I've read on here and still nothing. If I enable ICS, I cannot bridge my connections. If I don't have it enabled, my laptop recognizes my 360 but won't give it network access. Please help. MSN/WLM/Yahoo rocky11185@hotmail.com

Re: ICS Bridging - Laptop/Wireless Bridging using Command Prompt

Hey thank you for the detailed guide and I did everything the guide says and got same results as it, but whne I try to connect to xblive it says test failed
"Your DNS server can't resolve the names of the xbox live server or xbox.com"

Why do i keep getting this error?

Thanks

Edit:
Ok well i realized I wasn't using crossover cable (missed that part)
is this why i am having this problem? or can this be done w/out a crossover cable
I am currently using a "patch cable"

Re: ICS Bridging - Laptop/Wireless Bridging using Command Prompt

i did everything successfully...i have internet on my laptop (obviously) but now i cannot get onto xbl. what happened?

let me re phrase that. everything works. i bridged the connections. i have internet access. i can even sign into xbl from the dashboard. when i try to sign into xbl from halo2 it wont work. ill troubleshoot the connection. and itll say xbl is up and running. but...yet its not up and running?

Re: ICS Bridging - Laptop/Wireless Bridging using Command Prompt

So I'm assuming your 360 is running wireless but still connecting to your wireless labtop when your try to bridge? If so then you'll probably need to enable ICS (Internet connection sharing) for everything to work and take your 360's wireless adapter off. Because what your 360 is doing is probably running wireless along with your labtop but seperately instead sharing 1 single bridged connection. I may be wrong but this is my theory since the setup you described isn't working.
