how to steal accounts with cain?

A couple of my friends steal accounts with cain by going to traceroute and adding there ips and there email address and password show up or something like that. Anybody have an idea or knows something about it.

no im 100% positive its not because he did it while i was in the room with him and stole an account that i knew and brought it n the rrom with me.

They got your ip then used a kernel IP logger to steal it yes it really works they use cain for the IP then use the IP logger and put it in a file that can be read on the xbox and FTP the file to it then just sign in and its there on the xbox im tired of hearing topics like this

It can be done with the Abel part of Cain from a local computer. As of right now you cannot use Abel to harvest info from connections that are not local. By the way, Abel isn't even installed when you install Cain.
