Bridging FAQs [NOT UPDATED]

I'm having trouble understanding what you said. If you are bridging with a router, you will want to use switchsniffer or cain & abel. If you have 2 ethernet ports you just need to bridge the 2 connections together.

For finding IPs, if you're bridging with a router, you should be using switchsniffer or cain & abel which will find IPs for you. If you're bridging with 2 ethernet ports, you should download commview.

For your firewall, you should use ZAP. Norton is just used for a firewall, but ZAP is far superior in the bridging area. I tried to cover everything I thought you were asking.

i am brodging with cain and able and all of my stuff is right i have no problem bridging people host in games but when i put my firewall on high it block the internet on my sisters computer and my dad we are all on the same router can anyone help??

i think your cain or ZA is blocking the ports on your router.

I have my connections bridged i used the cmd and enable my connection but it wont let me get on the internet or get on to live. I tried reparing the connection and that does not work. Any suggestions?

are you using Cain?

i use a modem-->router-->switch and when i try to do the poisoning it kicks me out of the party and no IP addresses show up

You should be running two lines from your rouetr to your PC & Xbox, I dont know why you have a switch in there

well i have an ethernet cable running to every room in my house so it spider webs out from the modem....if i took out the switch and used another router would that possibly work?
