Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Award(s): 0 ![]() ![]() | How To Put A Grunt In MP First thing your going to need to do is open the map your adding the grunt to, then also open a SP map that has a grunt in it. Ill be using 03_OldMambassa.map for my tutorial Step 1: Locate the Biped First go down to objects, then charecters, then grunt, then locate the Grunt.HLMT Step 2:Movebox Drag the Grunt.hlmt over to your multiplayer map. It will ask you for sp_shared.map, so make sure you have that acessable. (This may take a while br patient) Now, were going to use dothalo for a while so close out of insolence for now. Step 3: Fixing the Biped In dothalo, open the MP map you injected the Grunt into. Next, go to the biped tag, and change the hlmt of the elite_mp to gruntIPB Image Next, go down to the HLMT tag in dothalo, and open up grunt.hlmt. Now, you are going to change the sounds of the grunt, to that of an elite. The first uldg, change to elite_mp, and null out the restIPB Image Now, leave dothalo open and switch back to Insolence. Step 4: Fixing shaders In insolence, locate the grunt.hlmt. Double click the tag and it should open with a plug-in Theres a little button that says edit mode, click on it to switch to dev mode. Once in devmode, Click on unknown 2, then click visible dependencies So change the 1st shader to objects\characters\elite\shaders\elite_plasma_shie ld_fp, and the 2nd one to objects\characters\elite\shaders\elite_plasma_shie ld Next we need to give the grunt shield effects. So click on the first nulled out effect, and change it to effects\objects\characters\elite\shield_damaged, change the 2nd one to effects\objects\characters\elite\elite_shield_depl etion and the 3rd one to effects\objects\characters\elite\shield_recharge. Now to fix the overshield. Go to the 2nd to last nulled out shader, and change it to objects\characters\elite\shaders\elite_overshield_ fp, and finally the last one, change it to objects\characters\elite\shaders\elite_overshield. One last thing and then your done. Navigate back to the grunt.hlmt, but this time click on variation instead of unknown 2. Next click visable dependancies. Now, change the nulled out uldg to sound\dialog\combat\elite_mp.(THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT>>>>>if you dont, your xbox will freeze sometime during the game.) Now you can exit of of insolence. Go back to dothalo, and find your way back to the grunt.hlmt. It should now look almost identical to that of the elite. IPB Image If yours does not look like the one in the pic, change it so it does. Congratz, now all the elites on the map are replaced with a grunt. |

Also use Entity rather than Dothalo =] | ||||||
