Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Award(s): 0 ![]() ![]() ![]() | shoot from the prone position with riffles this swaps the stationary crouching pose (with a riffle class weapon) for the banshee pose (lying down) HALO 2 MODDING TUT This is really quite simple but very few people know / use this mod, but I feel if it where widely used it could make the game a tiny tiny bit more difficult interesting. What we will be doing is swapping the body position of MC when he is flying a banshee (horizontal) over the his body position when crouching with any riffle Open Entity 1.3 or above (it could work on older versions but I can't be arsed checking) (English for assed) Open Co-ag Go to the Jmad tag Left click objects\characters\masterchief\masterchief Go to Tools (top right corner) Open meta editor (now theres a lot to this tag I don't fully understand, I'm still learning it) Go to Animation Calls in the Meta Editor you'll see there are 33 states of pose for MC, some are for boarding vehicle's (eg #22 spectre_b_d is boarding the specter as driver, p is passenger, g is gunner, L is left, R is right ) The animation call we want to find is "banshee_d:unarmed:idle" so select animation call 11 for the banshee_d pose Now roll weapon class down to 1 and below it it will say unarmed Now look at full body animations and you will notice that it has a SID of Idle and the Int16 is calling for chunk 8 from reflexive 5(this is the horizontal pose we want) So now we have found the animation call we want, what do we swap it with? Animation Calls #3 (crouch) weapon class #3 (riffles) weapon #5 (any, this is because all crouching riffle body animations are the same ) fully body animation #0 (idle) and the Int16 is calling for chunk 374 from reflexive 5 Change that Int16 number to 8 and click the save button on the top left of the meta editor resign and ftp done (only host can see this) I'm trying other things with this tag so far most have been pretty stupid eg Lockout Change Animation call #2 weapon class #0 weapon #0 full body animation both #0 and #1 (do one then save then do the other) Change the Int16 from whatever to 205 and when killed you wave bye bye twice (throw grenade animation) and fall over dead scary (this one everyone can see) Last edited by LD50; 06-09-2007 at 07:36 PM. | ||||||

| thats really cool. It would be awesome if someone made a cool military type mod of this on coagulation or sanctuary. Not like automatic and runfast but like a pro mod. Then people could go prone and it could be like a Socom type of game. IDK just thinkin outloud | ||||||

Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Award(s): 0 ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thats the spirit non of this auto aim cheating **** make the game harder, sneakier, stealthier more rewarding, then for some R&R play the explosive frantic games. and your giggles games too you can also use this pose when crouch jumping if you look into it enough, so you look like you're diving about like a Gun Fu movie (I think the pistol class poses are asking to be adapted) | ||||||

But I'm feeling generous right now I cant remember if you can set the map paths with 1.3 (if you don't know what that means check page 2 of the official entity help thread {my post near the bottom}) (Just checked you can't set map paths) So you need Mainmenu.map share.map and single_player_shared.map all in the same folder as the map you are editing (when I used 1.3 I had every map (including the new ones) in one folder If that doesn't solve your problem don't ask here this is a thread for a specific mod go to the entity help thread there could be many things wrong I'd advise getting entity 1.39 too | ||||||

Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Award(s): 0 ![]() ![]() ![]() | Jesus wept, while you were busy quoting me did you bother read what I put *Well thats that noob out of my hair forever, back to jmad edits, I've been thinking a little bit about it and I've come up with a pretty good one "playing dead" I'm not sure how it will look yet but If I swap crouch with airborne dead you should be able to pretend to be dead, watch them walk past you and then you beat them down (hmm if I change mellee to boarded wraith mellee you'd jump on their back/face and smack them in the ear) I'll write it up once I get some sleep and fully figure it out* Last edited by LD50; 06-21-2007 at 11:35 PM.
