~How To Stop Your Disk Via Ejection~

For those of you who have seen Gambler's tutorial on butterknifing your xbox, this is another method that accomplishes the same result with no damage to your disk.

This can also be used to take disks out of your xbox when your xbox isn't on, and in some cases will also allow you to hotswap.

This is relatively easy, and if you do it right not only will your disk be stopped, but you can twiddle it around in your fingers.

This has to be the worst tutorial i've ever written as far as keeping you perverts from making comments........but bear with me.

By the way, clear case is optional



Advantages of this method of disk stopping:

• Less hazardous to your disk
• Keeps your disk in pristine condition
• Disk won't accidentally start spinning again

Disadvantages of this method of disk stopping:

• Harder to get your disk spinning again
• Doesn't work with all drives/xbox's

Materials Needed:

• A paperclip of decent thickness (SAY WHAAA???)

What this tutorial will do: This will allow you to stop your Halo 2 disk, so that if you're modding only new maps on xbox live you don't get caught in matchmaking with an old map.


Let's get started!

1.) First, take a paperclip, and bend it reasonably straight, like so.

2.) Now your xbox (well, faceplate in this case since i replaced the case on my xbox) should have your disk in it. Look at the front, and you should see one small hole.

3.) Take your straighted out paperclip, and for lack of better speaking, insert it repeatedly in an out of the whole in your xbox. DON'T DO IT VIGOROUSLY, it will just bend the paperclip and you'll have to get a new one. You should feel it pushing a gear clockwise.

4.) After repeating this several times, the disk tray will come out slightly. Grab it and then slowly pull it out all the way. Then take out your disk, and enjoy!

when you take the disk out at what point do you put it back in? When the game starts? When do you start disk stopping? When your in the lobby before the counter starts? Sorry for the noob questions and thanks.

mine freezes if i dont push my drive back in so i just put a blank disk in it and it just spins is and i fail all maps
