Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Award(s): 0 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Mkay, basically, let's get a whole bunch of nead shader's out of the way Since shadder swaps look so cool, why not get them out since alot of people don't know which ones are which >.< Shader swapping is a great alternative from skinning weapons or vehicles. Shaders contain the texture or appearance of a object. And here’s a tut on how to do it... 1.Open dothalo. 2.Open the .map file your editing. 3.Go to the "Tags" window. 4.Go to the "(mode)- Model" tag. 5.Find whatever object it is you wish to make shader swaps to.(ex.objects/characters/elite/elite)6.Some objects may have multiple model tags(ex. objects/characters/elite/fp_srms/fp_arms) its recommended that if your shader swapping a weapon or anything in that matter you should change all the ones the have the weap you changing in the name. 7. Once you click on the object you wish to edit a little window will pop up just click ok. 8.Then go to the dependencies window. 9.You'll notice a bunch of "shad-"'s (ex. shad- objects/characters/elite/shaders/head) 10.All you do is change all the shades in the dependencie window to whatever shader you wish the weapon to have. 11.You can change the shader by doing this( after clicking it in the dependencie window click the drop down box and find a cool shad in that drop box :hint: the cool ones end in luminous. 12. After you’ve clicked the new shader you wish to apply in the drop arrow box click the "save changes" button. 13. Do that for all the "shads" in the dependencie window. 14. then close the map in dothalo and resign then enjoy!
