halo 2 on hard drive, no fxp reqiered

Things I used...
Halo 2 Disc
Softmodded Xbox (can be done wit hard)
UnleashX Dash (Don't know if Evox comes wit File Explorer)


Ok you softmodded your xbox now lets get h2 on there..
Most ppl think lets use dvd to xbox... well thats great if you have a bigger hdd then the xbox comes wit.. But if you don't it wont copy the whole disc leaving out some things you wanted (the old maps of h2)

Put in halo2 but don't hit Boot DVD or Run DVD whatever it says

Go to file explorer you will notice there is 2 columns

In the first Column go to D:/ For this is your halo2 disc

Now hit R to go to other Column

Go into E:/ then into games

Create a New Folder Called Halo 2 to do this hit white button there should be an option New Folder Then go over the new Folder White Button Rename

Make a maps folder and a media folder not bink cause we don't want the starting videos... To rename them do what i said in last step

Now hit L to go back to left column

Now go over everything that isn't a folder in the left column and copy... ( Go over items and Hit white button there should be option to copy)

Then Copy the Media Folder And if there is A Fonts Folder My friends disc didn't have one... so the game was kinda glitchy but I'm not sure if there is one

Now go into maps

Now Hit R Go into maps folder again

Now Hit L and copy the Fonts Folder

Now since Campaign Maps are to big to have all of them.... then your not gonna have any of them unless you want a certain one...

So Find All the maps that are mutliplayer... if you don't know what they are then you haven't been playing halo very long.. But there are

Ascension
Bever Creek
Burial Mounds
Coagulation
Colossus
Foundation
HeadLong
Ivory Tower
Lockout
Midship
Waterworks
and Zanzibar

Copy all Those maps and don't forget SharedMaps And Main Menu

And now hit back or B can't remember which one gets u out of file Explorer

And take out halo 2 Reboot Xbox

Then Go into Games Folder and you should see Halo 2

All the above steps can be taken in the original Halo but the maps will be different and more folders to copy I believe

O and Admins feel free to edit anything you think is necessary

No the evox i have doesnt come with file explorer but it does let you ftp the files when your in the evox dash so just pop in the disk and do the same steps also make sure you have auto luanch off in the settings

oh yeh and you have to ftp them to your computer first then to your xbox

all i know is that this works with unleash x, im not shur about evox or evolution x. sory but i use unleash.

no really i have the evox m8 bios and it doesnt have the file manager but like i said you can always just ftp straight off your disk but nice tut

i go to games and then click halo2 and it says (thers a problem with the disc your using. it may be dirty or damaged
