Shooting Stickies From A Weapon

Things You Need

Procedure

1. Open your map in DotHalo.
2. Go to your weapons [Weap] tag.
3. Highlight the weapon your want to shoot stickies from, I'm using the SMG.
4. Now in the dependencies window, find the projectile [proj] that it shoots. [proj - objects\weapons\rifle\smg\projectiles\smg_bullet]
5. Save Changes.
6. Now scroll up to the projectiles [proj] tag, and select the plasma grenade. [objects\weapons\grenade\plasma_grenade\plasma_gren ade]
7. In the Tag Editor window, change the initial projectile speed, and the final projectile speed to something around 400.
8. Save Changes, Fix Encryption and you are finished!

Thank god! And when you fix encryption, is that all and you play, or do you have to go to FTP and put your map file in again and transfer? Sorry, me noob.

Yeah u have to ftp the map back onto your xbox, then you should be good.

Yeah, DotHalo's resigner isnt that great, but for tutorial purposes i was just letting them know that they SHOULD resign the map.

1 more thing, how do you open the map when your looking in another file other then FTP like say you coppied the maps to another file, yess, edit it, fix encryption, then you get the map file in that 1 file you made couse you made coppies, take the one you just modded, go to ftp, go to your maps, go in 1,2 or 3 and post that map file there, then go back, right click and press transfer?

Uhm im not quite sure what you mean but I might have a clue. So basicly what your asking is how do u make backup maps, and how to transfer the maps over ftp? Im not sure if that's what you meant but here's how you do it

Ok so to make a backup it's pretty simple, you just copy a clean version, and paste it in a different folder. "backup maps".

To ftp your map onto your xbox, you can do this two ways, one way is, copy the map you wanna transfer, go to wherever it is that you wanna put the map on your xbox, and click paste (ctrl+v). Or you can right click on your ftp program, and click "upload>direct>select file" then just select your file. This is how you would do it if you had smart ftp, i recommend it because flash fxp is a little gay sometimes.

No, once youve made backups, you edit it and mod the map. Then you go to Smart FTP and how do you transfer it? What do you do? Go to E, T Data, the file with extra's, replace the file you modded or just add another and your done? I dont understand how to transfer.

Well that all depends on what map it is, because different maps have different folders, do you have halo 2 on your hard drive?

Well i havent done any real modding in awhile so, all i can remember is that you put the maps in either t data or u data, and the new maps have their own folder, they'res 3 folders for the new maps, they are diveded by map packs, bonus, killtacular, and maptacular. Oh and inside either tdata or udata, open the folder with 064 at the end, i believe thats the number. just kinda look around, not that hard to find em.

hmm... so in tdata or udata there is a folder with 064 and inside it has the old maps? but i dont get it... when you mod the map and fix encryption on yourbackups and it is a new map file, get your backed up map, copy it, and place it in the folder that its origonal map is in?

Yes, i believe that is correct, what you wanna do is, make a backup map, place it in a seperate folder. NEVER mod the maps in that file. So what you wanna do is make another folder and call it modded maps. basicly just copy all the maps from the backup folder into that one, and mod the hell out of that folders maps. Then ftp those maps onto your xbox.

You have to download it from your ftp. you can't just open it from there. You have to download it and then open it, then transfer it back.

wtf are you guys talking about? you mod your map, transfer to (whatever numbers) 64 and its belonging folder. unless your modding an old map, that goes in the maps folder of the h2 on your hdd

Here is the question of the decade - How do I do that? So, I create 1 file called Backup Maps, 1 Modded Maps, both backups, I mod Modded Maps file of maps, go to FTP, and replace or put in the map I just modded right? Im getting the idea. Well, im going to bed. Tomarrow, I will make a thread abaut this so it wont spam up, but still give me a reply.

Yes, you seem to have the idea. Just replace (overwrite) the map thats already on your hard drive with the new one. (The one you modded). glad to help, it's not spam, as long as your asking a question and not posting useless topics.
