| How to inject models with entity Well for what i have searched there are no tuts on this if you find one please take this out. but lets get to the point now this is going to be a tutorial on how to inject custom models into any map (once you learn how to do this it should take 5 minutes at the most to do this) i wrote this because of my recently released model pack and some of you might be confused on how to get models into your map Programs you will need -entity -a custom model -a halo 2 map -ok from this point i will be assuming that you already have everything ready to go i will be using one of the models that are in my pack the paintball gun smg so now open your map in entity. -head over to the mode tag and open it up and go down until you see the smg model tag ![]() -now go to the blue + thingy in the top right or left depending on the entity version you are using and go to blue+>inject meshes>inject .obj ![]() -now find the folder that has your model in it ![]() -this is what the inside should look like ![]() -yours might have more files depending on what gun is being used in the folder but i wont get into that. -now you might be wondering why doesn't mine look like that well i'm just opening the file seperatly so heres what you should be selecting using entity ![]() -just keep it on the whole file (its in blue on the above picture) and press ok it should prompt you with a new name mostly always ending in the exact same thing as the old model tag but with a "new" at the end. -you can rename it but you don't have to i will so i can easily identify it. ![]() -now hit ok. Yay now you are done injecting the model. -you can check the model by going to the mode tag and selecting your new model tag and click blue+>view model if you want to make sure it worked. making the model work -now we will actually make the model visible because if i just left you from here you would probably be stumped. -now head on over to the hlmt tag and go down to the smg (if you want a pic for that step i will put it in but you should know how). -select it and now right click in the big space and go to display>idents. ![]() -now select the mode/model dependency and right click it and select swap. ![]() -now select your new model ![]() -then press that big blue bar and now you have made your new model appear in 3rd person. now 1st person. -from now i will be using things already mentioned in the tut so check back if you forgot how to do things. -go to the weap tag and go down to the smg -right click and go to display>idents. -now scroll down and you should see 2 model tags swap them both for your new model. finished! -good job if you did this all correctly you have just injected your model into the map and is now working for 1st and 3rd person.
