How to Mod Old Maps On A DVD-R (Offline)

Ok, I know that many of you are probably wondering why you would want to use a DVD+R to mod old maps offline when you could just have them on your HDD. Well, here are some reasons -
1.) You don't have enough memory on your Xbox
2.) You want to put mappacks on a disc. (Killtrocity, Killtrocity 2, etc.)
3.) You don't know want to make a back-up disc for your halo2 just incase yours breaks.
4.) You are going to have a LAN party and you want to give everyone a Halo2. *xboxes have to be modded to play games*

Here we go.
-----------------------------------------------------
Requirements
First, you will have to have a DVD burner. I suggest an external LG dvd-burner. I got mine at bestbuy for 90 dollars. It burns DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, and DVD-RAM. It also has lightscribe and it was a 160 dollar package and it came for 90, what a deal.

2nd, you will have to have a DVD+R or a DVD-R. (Either one works)
-----------------------------------------------------

Getting set-up and ready to go for ISO creating.
  • Your DVD burner should come with Nero. If not, download it.
  • You should have a program called Quix. Download it.
  • Make a folder on your desktop called "Halo 2"
  • Make a bink folder, a maps folder and a media folder.
  • In the bink folder, put the intro_60.bik
  • In the media folder, put all of the H2 Media files
  • In the maps folder, put all the maps you want to burn and dont forget Mainmenu, shared and SP shared.
  • Also, put the fonts folder in the maps folder
  • Now, put the default.xbe in the "halo 2" folder.
You should now have a folder ready to go to make an iso.
Now for the steps with quix.

Using QUIX to make your xISO.
  • Open quix and click the button on the left named "Create ISO"
  • Check the radio button right in front of the Local Folder Text.
  • Click the "..." Button beside the local folder textbox.
  • Find the "Halo 2" folder on the desktop.
  • Click ok, then click "Create ISO" at the bottom.
  • Wait until it says done, then click "Ok"
Using Nero to burn your ISO to a DVD+R
  • If you double click the ISO, it should automatically open with Nero. (If you have it installed.)
  • Then, it should take you straight to the window to burn it to a disk.
  • Make sure you hit the arrow on the left side of the window and set the disc burn speed to 4x. (Or the slowest speed you have.)
  • Now, hit next and burn away!
