I'm sorry this has been asked before, but can you tell me a way around this without opening my PC? I put in my DVD (Pirates of the Caribbean - Curse of the Black Pearl) and I let my computer read it. Then I open ISO buster I right click DVD and click Extract <image> and I rename it to IMAGE000. Then I open the WX Ripper, and I click hotswap>stop drive. Then I do the paperclip and I put in halo 2. When I click save it starts and I get the replace data error at 0%. I don't know if this is helpful, but when i click stop drive it doesn't fade to gray as if I couldn't click it anymore. Also when I do the paperclip my drive acts as if i pushed the eject button sort of, because when i push it in the hole it pops out but when i grab it, it tries to pull it self back in but I hold on and it comes out itself. Any help would be appreciated. One more thing, what is DVD Info Pro? I didn't install it cause I don't think you used it in your tutorial.

I have an external dvd burner, and when I try to hotswap, it makes this loud screeching noise, any other way to do it without the paperclip or taking it apart?

No. The screeching noise is probably the disc hitting the thing that spins.

you dont have to take the burner/reader apart, just use paperclip and the hole on/behind/or behind the flap(mine) the drive to open it so you can hotswap the dvd for the halo2 disc

When i try to stick a paperclip into the hotswap hole on the front of my external DVD burner, I feel it hit something, i push, then whatever I hit moves and makes some loud buzzing noise, also WXRipper doesn't stop my drive when i click the stop button. I'm assuming the best thing to do is to take it apart.

use wxripper or the newer one [wx360] (included in my posted modders programs); you dont really need to stop the drive(incase you want to scratch it), when it makes a buzzing sound-the dvd holder drops and the dvd comes to a stop. So after it makes this buzzing sound-push with the papaerclip again(you might have to turn a small wheel with grooves in it) or pump it 2-3 times and the drive pushed out gently. [WORKS WITH MOST DRIVES]

I hotswaped a 7.38 gb movie with mt h2 disk and saved it as IMAGE000. I waited about 1 hour and it was stuck at 0% with nothing happening. Is it because the dvd is too small or what?

It froze at 0% for me to, just go to where your saving the raw dump, and look at the file size of IMAGE000. If it gets bigger, then obviously it hasn't frozen.

Umm, my first raw dump failed (there was no layerbreak in notepad), so i tried to do it again with a diffrent DVD, I got the error at 51%...Anyone know why?

if you didnt get the error at 7%, either you didnt follow the exact directions of monkeys tutorial or you used a small dvd (i used pearl harbor disk 1). It gets the error at 7% because of the security sector... stupid MS

I followed his exact instructions, and this happened with war of the worlds (over 8 gigs), and Blood diamond (7.8 gigs). If it matters, I am using a burnt copy of halo 2. My real copy is waaaay to scratched. My burnt copy does work on my xbox, and i made it with craxtion.

you have to make a raw dump with an origional copy of halo 2, it has the security sector on it so it'll get the error at 7%
