Halo 1 PC mod tut

Ok, nobody haven't post here yet so i think i'll do it.

This tutorial is for adding more stuff like making copies of the Health pack on a map.
But i'll change a plasma rifle to a sniper rifle.

What you need:

Halo 1 (PC).
Sparkedit.

Not much.

1. Open Sparkedit with the Sparkedit.exe button.



Now it should look like this...



2. Press "File" then "Open Cache File"



3. Navigate to you Halo PC folder and then on MAPS.

4. Open up your map you gonna mod. I'll be using icefields.map in this tutorial.

5. Now it should look like this...



6. To the right you can see 3 different tabs called: Navigate, Edit and Models.
Press on edit and it should look like this...



7. Select "Mode" inte the "edit" tab, and change it from "None" to "MP Equipment".

8. Zoom in with the buttons and get close to a "PR" like this...



9. Click on it and it should be highlighted in yellow.

10. Ok, now go to the "Swap" in the "Edit" tab
It should be a list of different weapons in it.

11. Go down in the list until you see the "weapons\sniper rifle\sniper rifle"

12. Choose that one and the "PR" should change into a Sniper Rifle.

13. Now go "File" and then "Save Changes".

14. Exit and start Halo. Have Fun

also when you select it you can goto duplicate and keep doing that and fill the whole map with weapons

i need help there are no weapons under swap to change it to? what do i do

wtf.. ok i downloaded sparkedit and everything.. i opened it n all... then i went to open cache thing and i go to microsoft games then to halo trial.. and i tried to open coagulation and it wont work.. does it work on the trial?? oh and i have another question... i have the halo full version but my disc is scratched so is there a way to download he full verson not from a cd? because i have the code and everything.. i need help pleeeeeeeeeeeease

I got there but when i go to change the weapon to a snipe there is no weapons in the tab even without the pr being highlighted.

Spark edit is probally not the best way to swap weapons... I use HHT to swap projectiles. Go to the item collection tag, select the weapon , then go to dependencies, then swap the dpendency for the weapon you want to replace.
