Open Halo Editing Kit Plus step 2. now open a map by clicking on open map ![]() step 3. Ok now ur its going to open a open map dialog it will look like this ![]() Now ur going to wanna navigate to c:\program files\microsoft games\halo custom edition\maps ok now u should see ur maps and also thats were u shouldve put in the map u wanted to download if u didnt do so now. step 4. Now open ur map by double clicking on the map u plan on opening. Now it should be open and u should see this ![]() step 5. now were going to alcually extract the files of this map. So click on maps on the upper left ![]() step 6. now u should see this ![]() Click on the + symbol inside the box ![]() It should look like this ![]() step 7. now click on the box to right of just click on and open space click were i indicated in this pic ![]() step 8. now the u should only see the right bow the left it should look like this ![]() step 9. Now highlight all the tags u can highlight by clicking once and dragging ur mouse over the items u want to highlight well highlight all the tags heres a pic of what u shouldve highlighted ![]() step 10. Now u have to drag those items into the tag extraction queue on the bottom right ![]() Step 11. Drag the selected tags\items into the tag extraction queue like so ![]() step 12. ur almost done u should see al the selected tags in the queue box dont check the box next to any of them and and remove the check next to Save Extracted Tag List. Step 13. Now click start ![]() All done now all the contents of the map or extracted to the selected folder including the scenerio which u will be able to open in sapien now because u have all the corresponding tags according to the scenerio if u just had the scenerio without any of the maps files u would not be able to open it and sapien would actually tell u what tags u were missing. You can also take tags from maps like say u wanted a viechle just click on viechles folder then cliock on the folder with the viechle u want like say jet and drag it in queue box. And when ur done just make the .map file with tool.exe in ur halo ce folder note: u should have it there if u installed halo ce editing kit well right click on command propt in start on the bottom left of ur cpu screen and then click copy and paste it in c:\program files now open it and and it should say c:\Program Files well after Program Files type \Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\tool build-cache-file levels\Bslay\Bslay Ok u dont really type bslay its an example for making the .map heres how u would do it the first bslay represents the map u extracted,s folder name and the second is the name of the scenerio file. So say the map name was Poon u would and the scenerio file name was Poon.scenerio you would type after the \Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\tool build-cache-file levels\Poon\Poon after the c:\Program files and hit enter. Now it should just say the status of it. it will take a while but when it looks like this it means its done ![]() It automaticlly puts the .map file in the maps folder in the Halo Custom Edition folder so all u need to do now is start up halo and it will be there also when u extract the map and u edit in sapien then save it save it as a dif scenerio name so when it maps the .map file it dosent overwright the map u took the stuff from cause if u name it a dif scenerio the name of the .map will be different when u map the map in tool. HAVE FUN ALL GOOLD LUCKCan someone plz move this to the tut section Last edited by BsLaY; 07-10-2007 at 07:01 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost | ||||||
