How to get Host in Ranked

What IP do i need to put in for Webroot?

My next question is, how do you standby, I know you have to put your firewall on high, but for how long should the switches be?

I know this is an old thread but can someone tell me how to get the brige to work with Webroot? Zone Alarm doesnt seem to work for me. I just need the ip ranges for rockstar really but webroot doesnt allow me to add ranges. HangtimePro seemed to get it so if you see this can you let me know. Thanks

so i understand how to get host but how can i get a group of friends into the same room as me. will they all have to bridge to me or can they just join my room. and will i have to use ICS to become host or can i do so with my router

I don't think all of your friends have to bridge. Only you, the host, need to bridge. However, I think it is better if some friends bridge as well because they will find your game easier.

I use ICS rather than creating a mimport bridge interface.

Whenever I start a ranked match I am never host even though my firewall is on high. Am I missing something?

So you just join regularly with another group of people?

Make sure your IP ranges include only the Xbox servers. Then, try again.

Are you using Internet Connection Sharing?

That's exactly what happens.

My trusted IP ranges are the Xbox servers and the Rockstar servers that are in this thread. I though that's what i was supposed to do.

I'm using a network bridge, but I tried it both ways and for some reason I can't connect to XBL if i just use ICS.

I think it's better to just use ICS because less software involved means less messiness.

Yeah, the friends will have to keep joining until they find you. If they are already bridging as well, it will be a lot faster.

Your friend has to constantly join and rejoin to find you. That's how it works. If you don't like this, tell your friend to start bridging as well. It should speed things up and you should find each other a lot faster.
