Can anyone help me with getting onto the Helicopter that Jacob is supposed to pick me up in?

I fly through everything with ease and do everything right, but no matter what I do or how many times I do it, Jacob does not stay long enough for me to get into the helicopter. I drive fast enough and keep up with Dimitri, but he still leaves too soon. It's driving me insane.

Is there an easy way to do this so I can finally beat this freaking game? If someone could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
