Like the one in the Network Settings on the Xbox.

To get your laptop's local IP, open command prompt and type ipconfig.
It's the one assigned to your wireless.

Try using zone alarm pro, its much easier to use in my opinion.

Which game types is this in? If it its only in one game type then you might be host banned.

I was playing with Headshots 1125 and every time it went to the scoreboard, we got some error about the host failed or something. And he didn't dashboard or anything. We did three times and got the same problem. We decided to switch to territories and he got host just fine. So maybe epic is host banning?

I personally have never had any problems bridging in wingman or any other game type, and I have been bridging most of the time in wingman probaly around 110 plus games, but nothing has happened to me.

Zone alarm works on 32bit not 64bit. Didn't realize you had 64bit.

Re: Need Bridging Help? Post here!

So here's the deal, I'm using a Crossover cable to connect my Vista 32bit laptop to my Xbox 360. That works, so then i bridge the 2 connections (Wireless Connection to linksys and Wired Connection using crossover cable to Xbox) So then that bridges right.

Then, i get Zap setup by making the new network in internet zone, then I add Xbox's Ip Range (65.55.42.130 - 65.55.42.255) and GoW2's (206.13.213.20 - 206.13.213.255) and make them both trusted. Last, I add my own Ip i get from Ip chicken, and add that to trusted, then hit apply.

So i have both Firewall sliders set to medium, and i have my friends Ip in the trusted zone, then change internet slider to high, search for match, and i don't even get 10 seconds to switch to medium because i already get into a game.

I think that this is because something isn't right with the bridge, but I know i did everything right, and even used a crossover cable and a regular ethernet cable both with no luck. It seems like Zone Alarm doens't even have an effect on my Xbox.

Later, I reinstalled ZAP 2 times, and both times didn't make a difference and I even added 206.16.213.20-206.16.213.255 as another trusted Ip range, still no dice.

You should know this works at my other house in the west coast, where i have windows XP, but it doesn't work here in east coast.

PLEASE HELP!

The way you are describing it, it is definitely something with your bridge. I for one am not an expert with the crossover cable because I simply have both my laptop and xbox connected on separate ethernet cords to my router. I would suggest downloading cain and setting up a bridge through that if you already haven't. It is quite simple and takes maybe 5 minutes at the most. Check the tutorials around the site for more info on how to do that. That should fix your problem.

Please send me a picture of your Zone Alarm if that it what you are using and the IP's in it. Also send me a picture of the program that you used for bridging your connection ie cain. Then tell me what you do to attempt to get host. Make sure you have your bridge going ie sniffing in cain, while your internet security is on high and your trusted is on med when you just start searching for a game. Then wait 10 seconds and turn the internet security to medium and then let it connect to a game and while it is loading stop the bridge or turn the security to off.

I would fix your xbox live ip like acid said and please explain a little more how you know your connection is bridged. Saying "my connection is bridged because I can sign into live" does not really give me a lot of description and I have a feeling your connection really isn't truly bridged. Just a hunch I have.

Re: Need Bridging Help? Post here!

When i say my connection is bridged. I mean i took the local area connection and bridged it to my other local connection. Doing this it gave me my network bridge . After doing this it says BRIDGE CONNECTION followed by CONNECTED. Once this was complete i moved on to settin up Zonealarm. Did I miss to do anything in the proprites? Please let me know. Thanks
