No. Standbying is only for the purpose of cheating. This tutorial shows you how to get host. When you have host you CAN standby, but you will get host banned if you do. It is also not necessary.

Referm to Bridging in Gears of War 2

It works, has worked and always will, but there is one more ip addres to add which i will post

PM will help, but dont add /as k me if your a noob at pc usage

its easy to bridge host if you have a modem for instance a motorolla modem it should b the small one and on top of it, it should have a small button thats the standby button. to bridge with frends on gears of war wingman you get a full game lobby and get a party chat going. after you've done that start the game and then hit the stand by button when your frends gt's appears on your screen hit the standby button again an then you should b back into you party lobby with ur team within a few seconds you should have a game with way better connection than u normally would have.... your welcome and have fun. play responsibally!!!!!!
