How to edit Gears of war 2 experience/rank

Tools needed for this tutorial :

- Hex Workshop
- Hash Block Calculator
- Modio Resigner
- Your XBL Profile

Do not under any circumstances go any further into this tutorial if you have not already gotten your profile on your desktop . This tutorial does not cover any aspect on how to get your profile onto your computer .

- Very important step . In order for us to correctly change our experience on our profile we must be at least a level " 23 " or higher and actually know the number of experience we are at . Do not transfer your profile to your dekstop without doing so . Go on gears of war 2 , play a quick round of horde and jot down the experience you have . You have about 4 seconds to write down that information otherwise you are going to need another round in so you got the exact numbers of that experience . Once all that is done you can exit out of the game and go along with transferring your profile to your dekstop . Make sure you make a backup of your profile and save it somewhere in a folder apart from the one you are Hexing -

Ok now that we have that taken care of , let's have some fun . Start by opening up Hex Workshop , go to file save and locate your xbox live profile .





Once you have your profile opened in Hex Workshop , go to tools/base converter .



A little window should appear . Inside base converter make sure that you're Byte Order is set to " Raw Hex " and that you're Data Type is set to " Unsigned Long " . In the box bellow Decimal , take the numbers you jotted down for you're experience and type them in .



On the left hand side under Hex , Copy the Hex Value that appears .



Now we need to search for that copied Hex Value . Go to edit/find , and a window should pop up . Make sure you're Type is set to " Hex Values " and Direction is set to " Down " . Once those are running clear , copy and paste your Hex Value into the box " Value " and hit ok .







After hitting ok it should take your strait to you're Hex Value . If you weren't able to find your hex value that's probably because you hadn't done what I said in the beginning . Scroll back up and reread about getting the " exact experience numbers " that you were left off with . If this does not apply to you then move on .



Now I'm already level 100 in gears of war 2 so there is no more experience I can add to my profile . The hex value that is shown in the picture above is the hex value for level 100 and I only am going over in this tutorial how to get level 100 only . Start from 00 and type in you're new Hex Value which would be " 00 68 27 4C " . Do not type in the Hex Value shown in the picture above . Once you have put in your new Hex Value , go to file/save and do not create a backup . Close Hex Workshop .





Open up Hash Block Calculator and open your profile . After opening your profile , go to Tools and Calculate Hash Blocks , at the bottom it should say done ! Close out of Hash Block Calculator .









Open Modio and profile in the resigner . Click rehash and Resign . Transfer your profile back to your hard drive and pop in gears of war 2 . In order to get level 100 you will be first listed as level 99 , play a quick round of anything and you will be rewarded with your new rank !

Tried this, reset my rank to lvl 1 and reset all achievments and gamerscore on profile, one thing it did do was unhost bann me.

I played one round of execution as host and when game was over reached lvl 2 not 100. (Edited read below, didn't work first time)

When looking under memory HDD in xbox, it says corrupted profile.
Had to recover profile. Upon recovering gamerscore was back to mornal and normal rank was back, lvl 23

If you could list what versions of the programs you used to resign and such and links, maybe I had some wrong verisons of things.

Another thing why do you have to be lvl 23?

I found the Modio you used and will try to do this again and repost success.
Also, i think I am back host banned, not sure will try my solo-bridge trick.

OK, so I redid this using the Modio(not one I used eariler that saiud it was Modio) and I loaded up with lvl 99.

Played a game of Horde, which gave me Host(host banned or was on player match)

Killed nothing and upon getting first match over with I made rank 100, so yes this does work.

Make sure you use the Modio prgram and it will look like in his pictures.

okay this is probably gonna sound really dumb but im not sure how much experience i actually have.. after a match it shows your experience then in parentheses + how ever much you earned. for example 177581 (+50) so is the actual exp. 177581 or 177631?

You have 177581 now

The one thats before the (+50), you don't need to add 50 to it.

People are some how are redirected into thinking you transfer your account first then go play a game or horde and see what your experience is .. that is a no no because if you have already transferred your account then the experience has already changed when you played .
