Text Tutorial:
Have the first weapon in your inventory out,now shoot and push RB at the same time so it shows you doing nothing. Then push RB a few more times fast like 6 times then hold up and pick your wep while pushing A. Have fun!

I was pretty sure you could just press A and X to a wall at the same time like the old not as good weapon slide. I did it a few days ago which makes this pain in the butt simpler if it works.

they probably think its too hard for new players to kill the more experienced players so they patch everything.

lol that will happen anyways. I just hate where you get smoke grenaded because you cant run in weapon slide the boom shot and have 2 kills before that smoke grenade would of knocked you over (ok thats a little exaggerated but its damn close to what happens!)

1) go near a weapon that faces a wall

2) mount off a friend and have him walk you over it

3) move "right" and press "X"

too true its getting annoying with this many people complaining and actually getting the game changed......the game does not need to be changed....your playstyle does

I think they should delete all the stuff they did to the game except the chainsaw because that makes more people play and put all the weapon powers and detections and everything to gears 1s. Have you ever sniped in one and then in 2? its absolutely poop in gears 2

and bring back the weapon slides or at least release an easier one. There is no way some kid playing gears 2 online hasnt found a smiple way to weapon slide yet like Y A or something simple. no way

d12183 - it picks up the gun without going through the little clip of you picking up a gun. It is faster and reduces the chances of you getting your head popped or you getting raped. It looks confusing now but it used to be just x+b and you would have the gun up and ready to go.
Kriegor - thats true now after TU2 because before TU2 it was x+b and really fast and better than the x+a in gears one because you didnt slide 20 ft away you just picked it up really quick. unfortunately no one has found or released an effective and useful weapon slide post patch. Soooo all those people who awnt to weapon slide better head over to Gears 1 and press x+a

The only alternative is to throw a smoke at the weapon and then run in and as the smoke downs you pick up the weapon.
