In this tutorial we will learn how to Mod Gears of War 2 Online Multiplayer Xbox LIVE Xbox 360 to cheat online in matchmaking.

How to Mod Gears of War 2 Online in Matchmaking

What you need:

• A Flashed Xbox 360 (Click for FAQ)
• Gears of War 2.iso (Buy Premium to get it)
• GoW2 Modding Pack (Made by Arman360, fixed by xdrugs)
• wx360

How to do it:

1. Once you have the Gears2.iso file, open it up in wx360. You should see this:
2. Have the Modding Pack opened up in another window:
3. Now in wx360 expand the x360-gears2modded (yours will be named different) by clicking the "+" sign, and click on "GearGame".
4. Right Click on "Xbox360TOC.txt" and click "Replace File". Now find the modded one you downloaded and select it:
5. Now expand "GearGame" by click the "+" sign, and click "CookedXenon"
6. Right Click on "Coalesced_int.bin" and click "Replace File". Now find the modded one you downloaded and select it:
7. Now click "File> Export XDVDFS" to save it.
8. Now burn the file using CloneCD or imgburn. You should already know how to do this, but it you don't, click here.

Notes:

• You must be host to use these mods
• The map pack was made by Arman360
  • He has modded the Pistol, Sniper, Speed, and Health
• You must be Carmine, Hoffman, or Katus for the mods to work
• Burn the XDVDFS dump that you save, not the original .iso
• It will not pass the ABGX test. It doesn't matter

Apparently you aren't supposed to replace the default.xex file, but nice tutorial I found it really helpful, appreciate it.

I've heard both ways work, but some people have problems if they replace it. ANyone have further confirmation?

My good friend . You do not replace the xex , please remove this from the tutorial because you will be damaging people's disks . All you do is replace the TOC & Coal .

Another thing . The procedure is , make sure that the TOC is hashed correctly , I think arman's mods which happened to be the first were not even hashed ... hash them to be safe .

Thanks, I will fix that. I'm sure you know a lot more about modding GoW2 than me, I just try to make easy to understand tutorials to draw traffic and help new members. If you will send me a properly hashed TOC, I'll be happy to replace it.

The files that have been posted here are from gears of war 2 only . If you simply replace the gears 2 files with gears 1 files I'm not sure what will come of that lol because the path and game name are totally different .

The fact that it is checked with ABGX you are always going to get a error/report notifying you the ISO is corrupt or bad because you have just modified the files and replaced the old ones within the original ISO .

Burn the XDVDFS Dump, and no, you don't ever have to check games.

Also , for the 100 people who have already PM'd me and been posting on the forums about abgx not passing or will you get banned . Your best bet is to null your console id's . It has been going around that it actually does protect you from a ban wave .

However if anything , my *** is toast because I'm number 1 on every map in horde ... so it's kinda obvious that is not legit .

I can't stand kids asking about ABGX. For some reason they have been brainwashed to think that ABGX is the almighty program and everything must be ran through it before they burn it or it won't work.

The thing is , people keep asking should I play the ISO because the abgx reads as crc failure , ok well lets use common sense here , if you modify any game and are not supposed to ... we should well assume that we are taking a risk of being banned .

Is your 360 flashed if not and your asking this question you really need to READ and not just skim.

I HAVE A QUESTION: When you save in the wx360 yo put file export XDVDFS AND BEFORE PUT XBOX 360 ISO OR ALL FILES?Regards
