I haven't done the glitch and I haven't been reset yet, but from what I've been told the circs are about this...

MS began to pull all the complaints that they received on people with the Level 100, checked to see if they actually had the achievement. Then MS (seemingly) started with the Higher GS users and worked their way down, as most people that I know that have been reset are well above 100k. I have a few friends who have timestamps and some that don't, so the circumastances surrounding it are basically if you have the Level 100 achievement and didn't get there legit, you are more than likely set to be reset to 0.

Basically, high or low GS, glitched, hexed, SPG, etc doesn't matter. If you have the achievement the GS reset is probably on its way...

I heard rumor that Epic also provided a big list of GT's to MS that have the achievement, but I honestly don't know if that is true or not.

I just wonder how much time MS is really going to put into this. GOW2 database doesn't store my rank. This leads me to believe that they are either detecting hexed or Gamesaved accounts which we know they can do. Or they have to "manually" verify EXP to see if you could have ever been a 50 or 100 if you SPGed and got the achievements. Although they could write a nifty script to pull that info together.

All they really have to do is an achievement Query. Mygamercard.net, trueachievements.com, 360voice...all these sites can and do show who has the achievements, so I'm sure Microsoft has the same resources available. I'm sure that they can just pull up the game and look and see who has the achievement, who has the full GS possible, etc. So I honestly don't see anyone who has it as being in the clear from this...

have you had a look at those sites, at least 100 people with the full achievements for gears 2 are there on the leaderboard - so in a way your theory goes out of the window, or may be it nest for people who glitched it not to show up on these achievment leaderbord. I for example, went on mygamercard.net and searched for me in the list of people with the full achievements for the game and thank god i didnt find my self there which meansit didnt update (although im a member)

Privacy settings do nothing. MS sees all no matter what you do.

I'm sure they arent working too hard on it... If they wanted to they could have found and reset everyone in a few days but when has MS ever been fast at something

i know, right? even in forums, admins can see if you're online or not, even if you're invisible.

the problem here is that some cheaters abuse the process, and thanks to those kind of cheaters the secrets are always revealed. people could use gamesaves and glitch achievements in small amounts for one or two games, but nooooo, they do it for most games they have and boost their gamerscores to abnormal noticeable status and calls for the attention of microsoft.
