Creating A Raw Dump Of A Game. Here is the tutorial on how to dump a raw image of a game. Things you need. 1. An original game that is on this list.

2. A new as you can get DVD drive 3. Be able to connect the drive outside the PC case. Thats all really. Part 1 - Preparing A DVD Drive. I found when doing this myself that the age of the DVD you are using is critical. I was originally using a drive that was manufuctured in 2004 and it would stop everytime at the mid point. I went out and bought a brand new DVD drive and not only did it then complete a full dump, but also did it about4 times faster!
So i would recomend going out and buying a new drive as they are not very expensive these days anyway.
1. Removing the case.
All DVD drives are different so im not going to go into this in much detail. There are usually 4 screws on the underside of the drive that need to be removed. Then the top cover should lift off. A couple of clips to the front panel may also need to bit unclipped.
2. Removing the CD Locating magnet.
All DVD drives should have some sort of magnetic disc to hold the DVD in place when in the drive. This is usually under a sticker on the lid of the drive. Peel back the sticker and lift up the cover to reveal the magnet.
You can the put the lid to one side and place the magnet back on the spindle.
Also this is how it should look when a disc is in the drive.
When swapping disc's from now on you do not have to eject the drive just remove the magnet and lift the disc out.
You are know ready to do some hot swapping and disc dumping so connect your drive to the PC leaving the drive on the outside of the PC case.
Part2 - Using wxripper to dump the game. Wxripper is a fantastic toolwritten by Gael360 and can be freely downloaded HERE. Heres how to use it.
1. Place your hotswap DVD in the drive. Any DVD movie will do but make sure it is over 7.5GB in size. Make sure you can see the contents of it in my computer.
2. load up wxripper. you should see a screen like this.
3. Click
Hotswap > stop drive
Now place a known game in the drive. and click Hotswap > spin drive.
4. when its spun up click
Hotswap > find magic number
You should see a screen like this.
5. Now if the game in the drive is the one you want to dump go to step 6. If you want to dump a different game click
Hotswap > stop drive again
Swap the game for the one you want to dump, then click
Hotswap spin > drive At this point you can click Hotswap > add game to database to save the disc to the known game database.
6. Now you are ready to dump the game. Click
file > start dump
Choose your location and save the iso. It should come out at the same size as your hotswap DVD.
Part 3 - Adding The Security Sector To An Image Of A Game After you have created your image before the firmware hack will work the correct security sector must be added in the correct place in order for the backup to boot.
A tool has been written by Gas-o over at
ElOtroLado.net that allows the easy merging of the 2 files. You can download it HERE. Heres how you use it. 1. Load up the tool. You should see a screen like this. 2. Load up your image file and the ss.bin file that you have extracted from your original game (more on how to do this soon), by clicking the buttons next to each field. 3. Click xbox360 4. Click Merge. Thats all there is to it. Now you need to burn the disc to a DVD + R Dual Layer DVD.
