| 7S Enthusiast | [GUIDE] The COMPLETE Guide to SPGing and Gamesaving to Boost Gamerscore! [GUIDE] The COMPLETE Guide to SPGing and Gamesaving to Boost Gamerscore! -Dave Intro: When I tried to get into this, there wasn't really one tut that I could look at and go "wow, that's exactly what I need." That's what I try to do here, make that tut so that future people who try to get into SPGing or Gamesaving can come here and learn basically everything they need to get started. By reading this guide, you will gain the skills, links, and programs/materials necessary to boost your gamerscore by tens-of-thousands depending on what games you own, or are willing to rent to boost your gamerscore up! The only thing really limiting your gamerscore is your will to go out and do it. Be smart, though. If you haven't gained any gamerscore in 5 months that you're profile has been on Xbox Live then all the sudden have 100k GS overnight, someone will be suspicious. If you use your head, unlock achievements in order, and most of all not go at a superhumanly impossible rate, you will be almost completely safe. In the case that M$ does discover that you have boosted your gamerscore, the worst that happens as I have heard is that they reset your gamerscore. This has never happened to me so I can't describe to you what is necessary to get to that point, lol. Okay, on to the guide. Materials: Xbox 360 with HDD, HDD Transfer Kit, Computer, and Two Controllers (in some cases) Mmkay, so I assume if you opened this guide you have an xbox 360, yes? And you probably have a Live account that you want to boost the gamerscore for, right? And you are reading it, so I guess you can probably cross materials 1 and 3 off your list. If you have two controllers, great, if not in some cases it isn't necessary so don't worry about it. This leaves only the HDD Transfer Kit. Now when I got mine, they were doing some thing where if you told them you had just bought a 120gb HDD, they would give you a free cable. I guess they are not doing this anymore, so you're going to have to bite the bullet and buy one. They run ~$10 I think, or are free with a 120gb HDD purchase. I have heard that perhaps if you call them up, tell them you bought a 120gb HDD like a couple months ago or that you got it off eBay and never received the transfer kit or got it as a gift you may still be able to get one for free. I don't know though. If you want to pay extra, you could also get an xport or xsata type device, but I say- why pay more when you don't have to??? In any case this is what the Transfer Kit looks like: ![]() HOW TO//RESOURCES: Now to the actual "How To" portion of the guide. When looking at the cable, it is fairly simple to see that one end is a USB cable. This is the end that will plug into a usb port on your computer (or, as Micro$oft intended it, your 360). The other end fits very nicely onto a 360 HDD when removed from the top of your 360. In order to access the Hard Drive from your computer (no Microsoft doesn't include that; they're not THAT stupid) you need some sort of software that allows the data on the HDD to be edited. The software that I use and that is going to be included in this guide is called "Xplorer360." The link to download this is below, as it is not "warez" but actually freeware (as I understand it). DOWNLOAD LINK If you want more information on what the program is, etc, you can check out xbox-scene's page about it. When you open the program you will see something like this: ![]() (Screenshot via http://xbox-scene.com) The column on the left will initially be empty. This is what is contained on your hard drive. To open and access your Hard Drive, you go to Drive>Open>Harddrive or Memcard... This will open up what you see on the left. Your personal data (profiles, saved games, etc) is found in Partition 3 of the Xbox Hard Drive. (in the left column) Another useful program, if you want to go beyond SPGing into gamesaving is a resigner. This resigner can help you with many, many things such as Halo 3 modding, CoD modding, and the like. It takes a file you create or download from the internet that doesn't have your ProfileID (ID associated with your gamertag, each gamertag has a unique ProfileID) or DeviceID (ID associated with your 360, each console has a unique DeviceID) in it and switches that out with yours so your xbox thinks that the save is actually yours and belongs on it. The link to download that is below. DOWNLOAD LINK The program looks like this: ![]() (image via Feudalnate at the Se7enSins forum) SPGing Your Gamerscore Up: The method for getting gamerscore up I am most familiar with is "SPGing" or "Second Profile Glitching." This is definitely the quickest way I have found to get your gamerscore up, other things like Saved Games, etc aren't nearly as quick. "SPGing" involves loading a profile into your HDD's partition 3. Profiles are stored under the "Content" dropdown menu. The profile that is all 0's is the "Default Profile" which is none of your profiles, but where the 360 keeps common files like Gamerpics, etc. Your profile will be one of the others (starting with E000 if I remember correctly). Inside those profiles are your saved game files. Each folder in each profile is a separate game. "SPGing" is as stated before loading a profile onto your HDD that has many achievements unlocked in order to unlock these achievements on your real profile. In order to do this, you must google "SPG Xbox 360" as I can't really post any links here to them. If you've followed this guide, you have the tools necessary to SPG any game. You simply load the SPG file into your "Content" folder through the Edit>Insert Folder... function in Xplorer360 ![]() (Screenshot via xbox-scene.com) The profile that you download will 90% of the time have instructions telling you what to do once you load up the game on your xbox. You must have the game in order to use the SPG glitch and (I think) all other things of this nature. It must be noted that the SPG glitch only works on some games. You will have to see how the games you own can be glitched to up your gamerscore, but with your HDD transfer kit and Xplorer360 you should be able to complete any process you find online. Upon further consideration, this really isn't similar to warez at all. Thus I will post some links to resources that will really help you out in doing this. http://gamecheats.xploder.net/xbox-3...rofile-glitch/ ^ gamecheats.xploder.net will in general have a TON of info about how to do this, this link specifically has a bunch of profiles that you can do the second profile glitch with! They have a pretty big collection. If you can find your game in here, you're in luck, it can be SPG'd. ^ Game Saving Your Gamerscore Up: The next very brief part of the guide (hopefully) will concern Game Saves. This method is a bit more complicated than the first and is done in a much different manner. For this you will not be glitching to get achievements. You will be loading legit saves onto your profile that will allow you to unlock the achievements with minimal effort, though. This method is much slower than SPGing but for games that don't have SPG available, this is your only option (other than hexing which really really isn't a good idea). So the process goes as follows: 1. Okay, this next step is probably going to be a bit harder for you, esp if you're used to SPGing only. What you need to do is identify which profile in the content tab is your main profile, or the profile that you want to do your gamesaving on to test it out or whatever. 2. You can do this in a few ways, the best way I found to do it is to first load up your xbox with the harddrive attached. Look through all the profiles you have and make notes of which ones have which saves, etc. Your main will most likely be the one with the most gamesaves, if not just count up how many all of them have. 3. Plug the HDD into the computer and boot up Xplorer360. Open up Partition 3 and go to the "Content" tab. Click on each profile available and see which gamesaves are on the profile. Find the one that matches the gamesaves you have on your gamesave-target profile. 4. Once you've found this, you know exactly where you need to place the gamesaves. You put them in the folder of the profile, with the rest of your gamesaves. Make sure you're putting them in the right profile. Okay, now that you have identified your profile, on to the actual instructions. 1. Find and download the save you want to upload to your profile. Again, xploder is a great place to find these saves, I'll provide a link to the specific section of the site below. If you end up using this resource heavily please try to join the community and contribute as much as you can to them. The more people put in the more is available to get out. 2. Okay, now that you have the save you're going to have to resign it. To do this, first open CONcept. Click the orb in the top left and go to settings. The following menu should pop up: ![]() (image via Feudalnate at the Se7enSins forum) 3. You're going to change the ProfileID and DeviceID to those found in your Profile. To do this, simply go to the main page of CONcept and load a file from your hard drive (first go into Xplorer360, click on a CON file, and Edit>Extract it to your desktop, then open it in CONcept). Your ProfileID and DeviceID will be there. 4. You can write these down for your own use if you like or click "Save ID Set" to save them, probably best if you're going to be resigning many files many times. 5. Open the file you want to resign (the gamesave you downloaded in step 1). You will notice the Profile ID and Device ID will be different from yours. From here, choose your ID set and click "Load ID set." 6. Just click Resign/Rehash and you are all set to inject the file into your HDD. 7. Open Xplorer360 and find your profile. If you already have a folder for the game, inject the resigned CON files in there. If not, create one, or in some cases the gamesave will include the folder. If not, xploder has a list of the folder numbers for very many 360 games, check there and create a new folder if necessary. 8. To inject, do it the same way as you would a profile, just now instead of doing it directly in the content section you are doing it in your specific profile. 9. Put the HDD back into your 360 and load up the game you just loaded a gamesave for. Chances are although these achievements will be EXTREMELY easy to get now, you will still have to do some work for them. 10. Follow the instructions on the .txt file that will undoubtedly come with the save profile and enjoy your boosted gamerscore! I really hope this guide can help you out, boosting your gamerscore doesn't have to be something that you think is dangerous or impossible. If you are smart about it and don't get like 20k gamerscore in a few days after years of getting none, you won't get caught. I have seen people do this almost exclusively and be smart about it, getting 100k+ GS depending on what games they have and not get caught. What Else Can I Do With This Cable? Well, there are a ton of things you can do with this cable, it's not just about SPGing or gamesaving. We have some great guides for just about everything else, so I'll link a few of them here ![]() How to Add ANY Gamerpicture Free! Mod Your Gamertag After the August Update! And then we have the things that entire sections are the forum are dedicated to. These include Halo 3 Modding, Halo 2 modding, and CoD modding to name a few. Definitely check these out if you're interested. Good luck, and happy gamerscore boosting! Dave |

| Se7en Sinner | Re: [GUIDE] The COMPLETE Guide to SPGing and Gamesaving to Boost Gamerscore! This tutorial is Terrible, I wouldn't use anything but CONcept for my gamesaving, especially with profiles, their too big for CONcept to handle. I use 360SR and the HBC for my rehashing and resigning when gamesaving. |
