| Novice | 1 in 3 Games Successfully Burns - Wasting Discs... Hey all, So I recently did the upgrade to iXtreme 1.6 firmware on my BenQ xbox 360. Turns out, my desktop computer already had a TS-H352C DVD-Rom in it, so I reflashed that as well with the SH-D162C firmware and I can successfully read all games I attempt. To rip the games, I am using Xbox Backup Creator v2.9 (the latest version), doing a Complete Backup, and everything finishes successfully. Then, I run the game through abgx360 to decrypt (still not sure what it does) the game, and then I burn it with ImgBurn (my burner is a Philips DVD8801 drive and can burn DL at 2.4x). The first 2 games I burned I had no problems copying them, but lately, my computer will only burn about 1 in 3 games, wasting 2 discs when it gets halfway through. Below is a logfile from the last burn that failed. Any ideas on why it is only burning every couple of times? I am starting to rip the game multiple times to ensure I get all of the data off the disc, but I'm sick of wasting DL discs! ![]() Quote: I 17:21:27 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! | King of Warez ![]() | Re: 1 in 3 Games Successfully Burns - Wasting Discs... What discs are you using? Maybe that is the problem? Are you able to burn at a lower speed, like 1x? You could try that too. Last edited by TerminatioN; 09-18-2009 at 03:35 PM. |

| Novice | Re: 1 in 3 Games Successfully Burns - Wasting Discs... Well I tried burning it with Xbox Backup Creator at it burned the first time. Since then, I have burned another game the first try using XBC. I don't know if its an issue of ImgBurn and my burner having issues together, or what but it seems to be working now. I'm going to just keep burning them with XBC instead of ImgBurn and hope that works. And I would buy a new DVD+R DL burner, except that I did the mod to save myself money, so if I have to waste 2 discs for every successful burn then its worth it to me in the long run. Its just a total PITA to devote all of my processor/memory time to burn halfway through a disc then have it crap out on me. Hopefully the combo of XBC will work with my drive, otherwise I'll have to post back up. BTW, the best $20 I ever spent was the 1 movie/game out at a time program at my local BlBuster. I am trading out a game or two a day, pretty sure here in the next few days the store employees are going to get suspicious. I'll just tell them I like to test a lot of games before I buy a new one, haha |

| Novice | Re: 1 in 3 Games Successfully Burns - Wasting Discs... Well I was just able to burn NFS Undercover the first time using Xbox Backup Creator instead of using ImgBurn. I think I'll just stick with XBC for now until something else comes up. Thanks for the help all! |

| Novice | Re: 1 in 3 Games Successfully Burns - Wasting Discs... Not sure what you mean by the right layer break, but when i rip it it works flawlessly. Then I use abgx360 to patch it and ensure it was a complete rip. I believe that program "stealths" it. It could be my burner, as I've started to notice that when I burn dvd's, some of them are extremely glitchy or won't play in my dvd player or xbox. Guess its time to start researching and look into replacing it. dang. |

Since you rip your games are you stealthing them with ABGX360? What type of DL dvd's are you using? What speed are you burning at? Last edited by ZyGoMaTiC; 10-13-2009 at 11:29 PM. |
