How to hotswap/rip/stealth patch 360 games!

This tutorial and all pictures in it were written and taken by me, ThePope43

Lets begin!

Things you will need:
-Computer dvd drive you can open up
-Some dvd that is at least 8gigs
-360 games(of course)
-WxRipper http://www.dwl.xbox-scene.com/xbox36...Ripper-1.2.rar
-abgx360gui http://abgx360.x-scene.com/abgx360_v1.0.1_setup.exe

(1/2) Ripping the Game
Step 1) FIrst off, you're going to have to take the top off of your computer drive and have it sitting outside of your PC, and take the magnet out of the top shell of the drive, you should have something similar to this:

Click the image to open in full size.

Step 2) Once you have you drive ready, you're going to want to hold the magnetic disc in one hand, open the cd tray, put the dvd in and close it then quickly set the magnetic disc on top to hold the cd down. You should end up with this:

Click the image to open in full size.

Step 3) Once you have your 8gb dvd in, you're going to open up WxRipper. Now your dvd should be spinning at this point. You're going to click on the stop button at the top right of the program, this should stop your dvd from spinning, or rather "pausing" it:

Click the image to open in full size.

Now your dvd drive should have stopped. Once it has, take off the magnet, take out the dvd, and put in your 360 game, and you should have this now:

Click the image to open in full size.

Step 4) Now that you're 360 game is in, continue to click the "play" button to continue the disc spinning:

Click the image to open in full size.

Step 5) Once your disc is at full speed, you're going to click the "magnifying glass" to find the magic number, like so:

Click the image to open in full size.

Step 6) Next you're going to click on File>Save Layout File and save as 'Xbox Game Layout' then click Save *note* After you've done this once, when you're on your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. game....when you go to save layout file, before you save again, make sure to right-click and delete the previous one that is already there!!!

Click the image to open in full size.

Step 7) Next you're going to go to File>Open>Layout File. But instead of opening the layout file, right-click on it and click edit. You should see this:

Click the image to open in full size.

You're going to change the 'C' on the third line to a 'D'. Then click save and then click open on that game layout.

Step 8) Now that you have the game layout corrected and opened you're going to click on the green arow that will start the dumb. Be sure to name the .iso the same as your game so you know what it is :D

Click the image to open in full size.

*Each game takes roughly around 17-18 minutes to rip*

Congradulations you have successfully ripped a 360 game!
(2/2) Stealth Patching
Here now I'll show you how to patch each of your games you've just ripped using abgx360gui.
Step 1) Start first by opening abgx360. Once you have it opened click on the tab labled 'AutoFix'. Click on the folder with the aarow at the top-right and select your .iso of your game. Then make sure you have the boxed checked labled 'Adjust angle 359 for iXtreme <v1.4 Then click launch! A Command Prompt will come up, once it's finished it will tell you you can click any key to exit

Thanks for the information, but does it need to be a specific disk drive and does your Xbox 360 need to be modded?

This portion has nothing to do with your 360. This is for your computer to rip the 360 games. But as far as a computer drive goes, no it does not have to be a spesific drive.

One way you can try is find a newer movie that is like 2-2.5 hours long or so. I used the Matrix movie. The reason it has to be about 8gigs or bigger is because the xbox 360 game is about 7.xx gigs and the dvd has to be a bigger file than the 360 game

Just a question on computer drives. I can take out my computer drive, however it is cased in metal. On the top is a circle which I presume is the magnet, but I can only get the bottom of the drive open. There is a large sticker on top partially covering the circle magnet. How can I open the top?

When I checked one of my ISOs with my AGBX it said there is an updated version of something avaiilable. What does that mean? I then tried another ISO and it worked fine

You have to pry that sticker off of the magnet to get to it. Just do a little messing around, you'll get it.

Try reinstalling the program, try a different game, and try a different dvd

Re: How to hotswap/rip/stealth patch 360 games!

ok.. i have a xps m140 laptop... i have tried this many times just using the emergency eject on my drive... it doesn't work, it says the dvd is too small even with gladiator.. so what i wanna know is if anyone can recommend me a disc drive in which i can take of the top and remove the magnet that will connect to my laptop via usb 2.0..... because then it should work for me correct?

thanks much

NOTE-- i actually have some old dvd drives around the house from when we had a desktop... could one of these work?? the only problem i see is that they are all sata cabled.. not usb.. so could i buy a sata to usb adapter and make one of these drives work??

plz reply and thanks in advance!

[s]wxRipper link doesn't work for me Can anyone give me a different link or something?[/s]

Never mind about that, but I am having a "Hotswap dvd is too small" issue. My Dvd is 7.93 Gb and it's the biggest I could find: Return of the King. My only other dvds are Fellowship of the Ring, Two Towers, Jeff Dunham Christmas Special, and Freddy vs. Jason.
