Flashing Hitachi

Flashing Hitachi
OK I have a Hitachi 47DJ Drive. I am wanting to flash it. I need to know what things I will need, and if there is a tutorial out there that I can view. Or if there is anyone around the Chicago area I can send to flash for me I would greatly appreciate it. Also I have a DVD DL burner, do I absolutely need DL discs to burn games? or can it be DVD+R?

you need clonecd to burn games. you could send to me i am very good and i have done around 20 or more xbox 360's. i know i dont have much posts but the post i do have i get thanx in.. and you would need a SATA card to flash it.

Verbatim is the best for burning games. +R DL discs!
You can use imgburn, clone cd and others. For only .iso files I use ImgBurn, and for .dvd files with the .iso file, I use Clone CD. Flashing the Hitachi was fairly easy once you understand the tutorial.

no if you have just a .iso you can make a .dvd easily lol open a wordpad/notepad and type this then save as .dvd

You just need DVD+R DL discs to burn the games too.

That type of hitachi is easy, the only thing you will need is a SATA port, and a blank CD-R (to burn a linux boot disc).

so basically all i need is a SATA Card (will that one work?), and a CD-R to burn a Slax CD? I believe that is all I need, I already have Verbatim, and a Pioneer 111D. and on a scale of 1-10 how easily is my drive bricked?

Dont listen to Banned.... bricking a drive is pretty hard to do.... Id say 90% of all bricks are from people writing the firmware wrong and not having backup, or just flat not writing the hacked firmware

i just flashed a 78 u dont need a programmer, but for these drives the only way to get it into mode b is with slax just pm me if you need any help
