| 7S Enthusiast | Re: How to flash a BenQ Xbox 360 So ****ing what? It's a usb drive, it fits in the palm of my hand. Just wondering if you could partition it and have it work. You didn't really answer my question. Last edited by ManBearPig06; 11-11-2008 at 04:19 PM. |

| Novice ![]() | Re: How to flash a BenQ Xbox 360 Because I dont know the answer, it isnt a flash drive if its 160gigs, odds are its a laptop HDD, and you can try if you want, but I dont think you can. You didnt have to get an attitude towards me either. As for the people asking if the VIA VT6421 chipset will work....... yes... it will |

| 7S Enthusiast | Re: How to flash a BenQ Xbox 360 hey, another slightly stupid question i put my flash drive in to make sure it was formatted correctly, and i got the screen i was suppose to, but when i turn off my comp, and go to start up again, it shows 2 lines of texts, mentioning nvidia and whatnot, and i always need to put my os disk in to like restore boot up data. is this only happening because i dont have the xbox hooked up to it? thanks again, you have been great help. |

| Novice | Re: How to flash a BenQ Xbox 360 This is a great tutorial! Only one thing I'd like to throw in. I was having trouble getting the port for the sata like some of the others. I didn't read all the replies but I found a soulution on my own and thought I would share it for non-windows users or windows users who are having a hard time with this. For my desktop, I'm using Ubuntu not windows so none of the advice was relevent to me. I was playing around with the DosFlash and noticed when I only entered the DosFlash command with no arguments it gave a list of available ports. I was thinking it would give a help file or some sort of syntax example, ect. Anyway it listed all my sata ports I thought of trying them all by process of elimination when I get the idea to see what it would do with the xbox on. Again, it listed several open ports but gave this output also: "MXK Vendo intro failed on port 0x1190....resend command until drive responds (y/n)?" I entered "n" and rebooted and tried 0x1190. That didn't work so I tried 1190 and whamo! Worked like a charm. So maybe you could throw that little step in there so that others wont have to jack around with windows for hours and hours? Again I'm sorry if someone has posted this already I just didn't want to read every reply. Also I found a typo. No big but it confused me for a sec. You just forgot the "\" DosFlash w (port #) 1 a0 1 4 c:ix14.bin 0 DosFlash w (port #) 1 a0 1 4 c:\ix14.bin 0 Sorry didn't mean to nit pik. LOL. ![]() Last edited by xanous; 11-15-2008 at 11:46 AM. |

| Novice | Re: How to flash a BenQ Xbox 360 Hi there guys, first post on here. First let me say, great tutorial, followed it step by step and everything has worked fine, up until now that is. Everything worked correctly as it should, I have an elite 360 with the benQ drive, flashed with iXtreme1.41 off of xbins. I boot my xbox fine and it goes to the dash, I don't have any back-ups until tomorrow to test with but when I put any genuine 360 game in it shows as a dvd, not a game? I'm stumped, hopefully somebody can help! Thanks. |

| 7S Enthusiast | Re: How to flash a BenQ Xbox 360 Um what can I do if I overwritted my orig.bin file on accident and need to reflash my dvd drive? Is there anyway I can obtain a new key from my drive after repluging it back in my xbox 360 console?? I know some people can repair your dvd drives even after bad flashes and no original bin/key file. So any help would be appreciated, also is there any chance of the key still being on the drive but just requires dumping it until i get a correct key? @ Above: Same things happens to me after flashing mine guessing it was because of a bad key but if i put in a dvd movie it plays that just fine just doesn't play retail games. (No backups to try as of yet since i can't find ****ing DL DVD's anywhere) Last edited by rpgwo; 11-23-2008 at 06:51 PM. |
