General 360 help needed ?!

Hey guys... i still havent got 360 yet.. but i do have a few q's...

Q> which are the most common drives for the pro and the elite??

Most 360's in 07-early 08 have BenQ's
Then the rest from then on have lite-on's with a couple BenQ's here and there.


The VIA6421 card is the guaranteed sata chipset to work for flashing. The reason behind buying it is because you know it will work with the drives. Unlike others.

As long as you have read your firmware from the drive. Then it you mess up the flash. It is easily fixed by making another modded firmware and flashing it to the drive. Or just flashing the original.bin to the drive.

360's can always get RROD
You cannot do anything with undumpable drives. You cannot swap drives and you cannot mod them. Hence the word "unmoddable".

The Undumpable Lite-ons have manufactures dates of August09 and on.
