If every game gives you the put this in a xbox 360 console, and if you put a dvd in there it plays the dvd fine. Then the firmware flashed to the dvd drive lacks your consoles unique dvd key. If that is the case. Your console is just a very expensive dvd player.

Re: restore ms28

If you have the original drive key (in the firmware) that you dumped, then you are in luck because you can use it to make a new custom firmware that you can then load on the xbox360.

Use JF and load the old firmware in the FirmwareTool tab, load the original firmware in the top box and then a custom firmware (e.g. Samsung 1.6.1) in the lower box and spoof source to target then flash the new firmware to your drive.

If you do not have the original.bin from the drive. Then you are screwed.

If you have the original.bin from the first time you flashed. That is your drives original stock firmware. It already has your key in it.

But if you don't then you need to read the firmware that is currenty on the drive and load it as source and load the stock firmware as target.
