| Novice | restore ms28 any one know how to restore a Samsung ms28 drive back to original? everytime i put a disc in it says "To play this game please put it in a xbox 360 console" does anyone have the original samsung ms28 ver. A firmware? |

| Diet Mod ![]() | Re: restore ms28 If every game gives you the put this in a xbox 360 console, and if you put a dvd in there it plays the dvd fine. Then the firmware flashed to the dvd drive lacks your consoles unique dvd key. If that is the case. Your console is just a very expensive dvd player. |

| Novice | Re: restore ms28 If you have the original drive key (in the firmware) that you dumped, then you are in luck because you can use it to make a new custom firmware that you can then load on the xbox360. Use JF and load the old firmware in the FirmwareTool tab, load the original firmware in the top box and then a custom firmware (e.g. Samsung 1.6.1) in the lower box and spoof source to target then flash the new firmware to your drive. |

| Novice | Re: restore ms28 i have a similar situation i want to take my custom flashed drive and put it back to stock cause i dont want to risk getting banned would i do the same thing as jimjones3d said except load the stock firmware in both the source and target? thanks |

| Diet Mod ![]() | Re: restore ms28 If you have the original.bin from the first time you flashed. That is your drives original stock firmware. It already has your key in it. But if you don't then you need to read the firmware that is currenty on the drive and load it as source and load the stock firmware as target. |
